^ If that is what floats your boat.

And again, no one can prove that the original teasers said anything in-engine but if you think this makes me a fanboy, cool beans.

And do not worry, I have all the uncompressed trailer footage courtesy GamerSyde. Correction, this was the only trailer released at VGX that say's IN-GAME footage (no details released as to what it was running on), the specifications have gone from running ~30fps+ on a 780Ti to a GTX980 struggling to maintain 60fps on ULTRA,

And this was the time that the XBox ONE footage was first shown (with a lot of tearing).

Also, I am sure that Zodak was perfectly fine two pages back when he said that the XBox ONE footage ripped from the twitch stream looked fine. :giggle:

No one says their early footage is in-engine or captured from specific console except maybe Naughty God, but I'm glad CDPR figured out this loophole as well like Ubisoft and EA.

^ I am glad too.

This has been happening, will continue happening, irrespective of how much righteous indignation you chaps feel right now or paint me as a hypocrite.

Already pre-ordered the game and I would continue to drive the hype train.

Have a developer who goes around, delaying its game, being open about its releases and standards as far as possible and has not devolved to releasing 10 hour chunks of expository cut-scenes annually.

You guys can keep your money where your mouth is then. Capisce.

Yeah it's not like they delayed the game multiple times and then announced paid DLC and a season pass well before the actual launch.

There are things to be appreciated about CDPR but if you can't acknowledge legitimate criticism you cross into the fanboy territory and sit next to Zodak and Hope sounding like you know they do

Yup agreed. CDPR are not much different from Ubisoft when it comes to Witcher 3. Graphical downgrades, labelling PC footage as console footage, talking about parity, paid DLC announcement before release, extra content for M$ in CE etc etc. I won't be surprised if game is a shoddy port on PC.

word on the street is that the retail PC version will have a day 1 online activation stuff and the game cannot be played without downloading and activating it.

Its a common practice with almost all PC games. You preload a game but a crucial file will be missing which the client will download on release date and unlock the game.

for retail copies too? i know it works that way on digital platforms like STEAM.

Yup, can't play before release day. And anyways retail copies have redeem codes too so you can't pop it in and play like consoles, you have to activate it first. Retail just saves you the download (except in case of MK X)

no. the game can be installed from the disc but you need to download and activate a file before playing it. this is for the first print copies only btw.
