And anyways retail copies have redeem codes too so you can't pop it in and play like consoles, you have to activate it first. You preload a game but a crucial file will be missing which the client will download on release date and unlock the game. Nope, the first patch will unlock the game and fix a couple of game breaking bugs. Also, the first patch will disable any DRM that WB will try to sneak in, the key code will later be used to unlock the game in your GoG library. this is for the first print copies only btw. Nope you get key-codes with every PC release these days. If there will ever be a reissue of the game in India like last time around, people will get key-codes in them to unlock the game for their online library. Depending on the DRM implementation you can play around it. STEAM, UPlay! and ORIGIN require online verification (which in cases can be bypassed if you use a VPN and time-zone change) but rest of the traditional on disc DRM traditionally do not care about anything as long as you have a legit key-code. Yeah it's not like they delayed the game multiple times and then announced paid DLC and a season pass well before the actual launch. There are things to be appreciated about CDPR but if you can't acknowledge legitimate criticism you cross into the fanboy territory and sit next to Zodak and Hope sounding like you know they do Oh! I am not defending that there is no downgrade or it is absolutely wonderful, sunshine and rainbows but and this is an important but, it is quite hilarious that people who own a platform which limits their frame-rate / resolution or both come around telling us about a downgrade (which they have no way of bypassing). When if it was an exclusive, it gets slotted as a 'cinematic' experience / necessity / requirement. Anyway, my stand is absolutely clear on CD PROJEKT RED, I love them and would totally back them up every time unless they become a UBISOFT or EA or any other big budget publisher. I think the recent reddit AMA by someone who visited UBISOFT and was told that the studio was aware of issues in Unity but still pressed on for release date because it would 'impact' future plans really shows how much the studio cares about its user base. And maybe we should talk about EA, while we are at it. You know, they love you guys so much that at the first sign of trouble they yank their games off the shelf, off their own digital distribution network. We should totally support such companies because someone had the gall to express a different opinion. But I think you wanted a #kthxbai.gif, sorry to disappoint you, I will blame BattleField Hardline this time. Cry in a corner? Sell the console? Or be like, you know what, the human eye probably cannot see above 20fps is fine.
