The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I think the fact that so many people have built a gaming PC (even in this forum) awaiting this game is the result of all the hate and is well deserved...

Spending a lot of green and not getting the right product is terrible....Plus the expectation from CDPR is always very high (Unlike EA and Ubisoft)..prolly next to ND..

Dont forget the shitty minimum requirement - i5 2500k + 7870 for not a very good looking game .

CDPR has proved that they are no different than Ubisoft or EA. They just sold out. The game looks almost same as PS4 version at Ultra settings. That's just terrible for a PC focussed developer.

I dnt think they are obligatory to tell us anything for that matter if we go there..But thats what makes them good developers...

Also, the entire discussion was that why CDPR gets away with it? And although I would wait for the actual game, the things do not look good...And if UbiSoft and EA gets loads of sh!t thrown at them for downgraded project, its only fair that it should happen to CDPR..

I rest my case..

PS: Dunno why I am discussing this. Right now I dnt even own a PS4 to play this bad boy :wallbash:

I would say the same for watchdogs. Before buying the game, people knew how it looked. Its not anyone's fault if people started cribbing about how its graphics after buying the game. Edited by sach4life

This I am afraid has been the case ... imo PC = ~ ps4+ gameworks from what I can tell off the videos. Posting a video here which shows the comparison

Yeah, really...

Did you play any of the previous witcher games??

Also its not about what they are obligated to do,but what they did do.

No one here has an agenda against Cdpr.

People have a point of view and they state it,its not an obligation to have an opinion.

But doing a job where you earn a living and make money from consumer's pocket is an obligation ,you can't run away from.

Cdpr is no different in that they too need to survive, its an evolution from a small bunch of nobodies making a gane in 2007 to next most natural step,a huge publisher.

We have witnessed it first hand, you cant blame them ,but what choices they make have a consequence.

They sure will make more money by being a console dev,and to that extent thier decision has already paid off .bad decision?? No,not at all from a business point of view.

But can they keep on harping that they are an all forsaken saint in the corporate world now??

I would say they are still better than some ,but that would just be choosing the lesser evil.

But i am not obligated to do so.am i??

The problem is the lighting in current build looks awful especially indoor lighting also it looks like they have removed water reflections. These may be small details to you but it really does affect the atmosphere :(. Let's see maybe they will release a advanced edition for the pc

Graphics Mods will fix the graphics problem..

Go check Skyrim with ENB mods on PC...Skyrim with ENB looks better than W3 running at Ultra :P

Witcher 1 was a big game with good graphics.. Witcher 2 was smaller in scale but had amazing graphics .. so by comparison Witcher 3 should have been a bigger game with amazing graphics :P

Building a game with a world bigger than Skyrim, a seamless world with minimal load times, and the technologies they showcased in those early trailers is a huge ask for any developer, CDPR or Rockstar.

You guys should stop watching these videos. Things you wouldn't have noticed normally will now jump out just because you've watched these countless analyses.

If the goal is to enjoy the game then just wait to play it for yourself. The visuals by most objective measures are stunning. On the other hand if you just want to lynch the developers then knock yourself out as these videos are only going to increase post launch.

Lightning is not something you need a magnifying glass to notice.

I remained neutral.

Nice.

Now thinking of it, this whole situation is reminiscent about the eve of Assassin's Creed III launch.
