For me Ciri and Geralt are easily one of the best video game characters ever created Cheeeee!! that sucks! .. Modders are planning to fix this voice issue once entire creation kit is out..Expect Skyrim level of modding soon... Agent 47 Posted May 27, 2015 Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 (edited) So finished Witcher 2 last night..Awesome game..Will be starting this now..So i need to know a few things.. Do i need to download all the patches that have released till now or only the recent one..I don't think it auto-downloads as i'm using a retail copy and not Steam..Correct me if i'm wrong..How similar is its combat to Witcher 2 ?..I had problems with 2nd game's combat as it is different but i got used to it and find it pretty unique now..Fighting in closed areas were a bit of a problem..but i think that's were signs come in handy.. I'm aware of the mechanics so i know side quests disappear if you reach a certain point in the main quest but does it give a warning message.? Also, what character skills are most of you guyz playing..In the 2nd game i spent more on Swordsmanship, Training and Magic but nothing on alchemy but in later stages i felt alchemy is pretty vital but you know you can't spend ability points on everything and be a god..This ain't Mordor So is there a stable character tree which i use my xp on.So that i can have a good experience of the game.. Also, on the save game import..how does that work..If i uninstall the 2nd game will the save files still be there..Or should i install this..import files and then uninstall 2nd game..Btw 2nd game is a GOG copy.. Just Simulate W2 choices..No need to import anything...Nothing major will change in W3 except few cameos from old side characters and few new missions Spoilers - Do i need to download all the patches that have released till now or only the recent one..I don't think it auto-downloads as i'm using a retail copy and not Steam Retail copy comes with optional download of GOG galaxy client..Download Galaxy and it will auto-download all your updates.... He seems to have so many high value cards, not to mention his special cards pretty much obliterate mine. Can I come back to him when I probably have a better deck of cards? How in the hell do you gain all those special cards? My Northern Realms decks highest value cards are at 6 and special cards only have Torrential Rain, Impenetrable fog and Biting forest. Heaven Angel Posted May 27, 2015 Report Share Posted May 27, 2015 First, arrange your cards. After winning any card, make sure you add it to your playing deck (so you can get it when playing). Make use of leader card. You need only 22 cards. So get rid of peasants (and low value cards) before starting. Completing Gwent quest will give you special/hero card. Choose your leader card wisely. Remove climate cards from playing deck. It affects your battlefield too. Rather add high value cards. Buy cards from merchants whenever you see them selling. Place medic cards in your playing deck. Use during 2nd or 3rd round only. Get commander horn and Scorch cards and place in your playing deck. I'm almost done with Gwent. Just 1 card required to play Scoia'tael faction. I did and do not know, hence I spent a time in Russian Roulette mode, constantly loading a quicksave just prior to the match up and trying to wait for a slip on his part. He is pretty much the OP deck you meet but not the worst, my worst experience was in Crow's Perch where I was obliterated by a Scoia'tael and Monster deck constantly mustering forces way in excess of my capabilities. Thanks..the game is trying to update something on GOG galaxy..but its coming upto 49% and giving server problem issue...is it normal..?
