roun90
^ Which brings me back to this one nagging question, where the bleepity bleep are Iorveth and Saskia? Maybe we will see a sequel for the franchise from a different perspective one day. Would be fun to come back to The Continent. We might see Iorveth, but I doubt we will see Saskia again given that we kill her in Roche's path. For people importing Saskia's playthrough, it might just be written off as Nilfgaard/Redania killed her during the battle when Nilfgaard crossed the Yaruga. No way either of those 2 power hungry monarchs are going to let a free Pontar Valley remain. The free people's army was not that strong even in Witcher 2 when they were only dealing with Henselt. Regarding the ending, I would actually prefer Radovid as king since it ensures that the lodge is completely wiped out with no chance to rise up again. But, CDPR just had to make Radovid suddenly mad in this game and take it to the extremes with killing everyone left and right. Right now Ciri as a witcher is best for her future. ALPHA17
^ Radovid was a megalomaniac that was apparent by the final chapter of The Witcher 2 itself. This time around paranoia seems to have caught up with him. Saskia, dead, not likely. Plus there was surprisingly no mention of the Free Pontar Valley just that Aedirn and Temeria were captured by Nilfgaard in the opening stages of the war. Plus if Saskia is dead that puts Iorveth in a very, very sticky spot. He is back to square-zero.
WhiteWolf
How do you judge good or bad? I ended with Ciri becoming the Empress, Radovid and Dijkstra are dead, Temeria being a vassal state of Nilfgaard, Emhyr lives, Geralt returns to being a Witcher, Kiera lives to cure Catriona plague alongside Lambert. Ending spoiler - There is a bad ending - In bad ending both Geralt and Ciri are dead. You can call Main Ending 1 and 2 whatever you want, but 3 is definitely bad. There are total 3 main endings. roun90
The dragon we kill in Roche's path was Saskia under Philippa's control. If CDPR ensured that Henselt died even if you spared him in Witcher 2, no way are they bringing Saskia back. In fact, they could not even mention free Pontar Valley because if you took Roche's path and Henselt won, there was literally no free Pontar Valley. It was a part of Kaedwen (now Redania). BTW @WhiteWolf even Geralt and Ciri dying is not that bad compared to what the Lodge did to Saskia in Witcher 2. One of the main reasonsd I dislike Triss is because she is a part of and agrees with the Lodge despite the crap they pulled, which endangered and got killed many people in the name of having power. ALPHA17
btw how did your Geralt end up alone .. couldn't say no eh I did not have a choice because up-to that point I had only ever committed to Triss, got the invitation. Thought everything would be fine and BAM! I did help Yennefer with the genie quest, so that can be that

All sorceresses are part of the lodge, which was formalised after the failed coup of Vilgefortz in the Thaneadd Coup. That makes all sorceresses evil in your book? ALPHA17
^ One of the few games that did this to me. Others being, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., KoTOR II, Company of Heroes and Brothers in Arms.
joken732a
that might actually be true but she never suggests herself that she wants to see Emhyr after the battle . So I didn't want to force it on her . Plus she looks really happy being a witcher in the end Got the same ending, posted few pages back and yeah i also think the same. anyone know new dlc quest location and armour location? There was only one dragon in the entire Witcher 2, only one dragon which was under the Lodge's mind control in both paths and which we definitely killed in Roche's path, which was Saskia. CDPR is not like Bioware. They will not go against and retcon player choices, but will instead weave those choices into the story which will be resolved in a single sentence (Henselt was killed by Geralt/died fighting in the front lines against Redania; Adda was killed/will have to content herself with Redania etc.). So we may probable not see Saskia again unless as an undead dragon raised by a necromancer maybe. Regarding the rest of Aedirn, as you said before it fell to Nilfgaard. That particular part of Pontar may either have been captured by Nilfgaard in the early battles or held by Redania. Either way the Free Pontar either never existed or does not exist anymore. Regarding sorceresses, Yenneffer was not a part of the lodge (or at least did not agree with them). This was said in the game itself, when you read the memories from the Magiscope crystal found at Phillippa's hideout. She always wanted the best for Ciri and in the game Geralt. At the end of the books she even died for him. The Lodge always wanted to control Ciri who was the child of the elder blood and prophesied saviour. They were always power hungry and by making Phillippa Ciri's advisor, the player has directly handed Ciri over to them. Also, I doubt the lodge represented all magical population. It was only for females (which automatically excluded the sorcerors) and was I think said to be comprised of only the most powerful sorceresses (so it may not even include all the sorceresses existing). Gautam
Can there be a spoiler thread to discuss W3 story endings? Many people are still playing the game and those "Hide" tags don't work on mobile.
