eddy4823
I don't care about the MP ( Even if it is in the game). It's a game meant to be played alone. I'm half way through Witcher 2 and the more I play, more I wonder what am I going to do once the game is over. Will play again by following different choices. ALPHA17
I don't care about the MP ( Even if it is in the game). It's a game meant to be played alone. I'm half way through Witcher 2 and the more I play, more I wonder what am I going to do once the game is over. Will play again by following different choices. In-case you missed the memo or were just to lazy to go through the thread, CD Projekt RED has said in no uncertain terms that multiplayer is not in the works, noting that “the game will be an epic, story driven, single player, open world RPG experience” and that they “strongly feel that this final saga of Geralt has no place for meaningful multiplayer.” Talking 'The Witcher 3' With CD PROJEKT RED: Single-Player Only, DRM 'Worst Thing' In Video Game Industry @Forbes. On the latter point glad you are enjoying the game, which path are you following now (Chapter 2 onwards)?

Somebody just mentioned above MP, I was replying to that comment. Anyways, I'm on Iorveth's Path. ALPHA17
Anyways, I'm on Iorveth's Path. The next play through might not be as fun as this one.

eddy4823
yeah I've heard that you should take Iorveth Path first and then try Roche Path in the second playthrough. dunno why people say that but will figure out soon. also, will try to complete every quest now and will gives talents in the sword skill tree. ( right now focusing on magic ). Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk

ScrewyAurum
Polish gaming website Legal/Law Journal site (thanks Kodaemon and Perscitus for the heads up),Gazeta Prawna, has revealed some interesting information about the development cost of The Witcher 2, as well as the development for both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. During CDPR’s conference, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kicinski said that The Witcher 2 cost $10,36 million to CD Projekt RED. In addition, Kicinski revealed the The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 will cost CD Projekt RED $2,82 million for the first half of 2013. Adam Kicinski added: “We already have an agreement with Warner Bros and we’re conducting further negotiations. We’ve divided the globe into areas, allowing optimal financial conditions in different territories. In total, we want to have upwards from ten distribution agreements. In addition, we want advance payments from distributors for each geographical area as a contribution and expression of faith in our product.” What’s also great here is that CDPR has achieved financial independence. According to Kicinski, the company has $8,32 million which allows financial independence. Kicinski concluded: “Currently, we are working on two large productions (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077) and two smaller titles (the first one will launch after the new Witcher). We need a financial base to fund our publishing plans. This gives us financial independence, which is a key factor to success. It’s good to have a financial background in this industry. It allows you to work on even cooler projects and maintain a high margin, since you don’t need to depend on advance payments from distributors” The Witcher 3 is currently planned for a 2014 release on next-gen consoles and PC, while Cyberpunk 2077 is planned for a 2015 release on next-gen consoles and PC. ALPHA17
The Witcher 3 story writer reveals unseen areas: “at any point you can go to a different location” Talking to us at Gamescom, story writer Jakub Szamalek revealed some of the massive RPG’s other regions, as well as the stories to be found in them. “There will be many other regions,” Szamalek said. “The most important being the no-man’s land. It’s a territory that has been ravaged by war, through which armies have marched and they’ve burned everything they’ve come to on their way. It’s a dark, creepy environment covered by swamps primeval forests. There are sparsely populated areas, small villages full of very distrustful people who are not welcoming to new-comers.” Where the previously shown Skellige Islands are based on Nordic culture and mythology, the no-man’s land will have a different set of inspirations. “This part of the world is based off Slavic mythology and myths and legends,” Szamalek said. “It has a feel of Brother Grimm’s tales. It’s a dark environment in which there are many secrets to uncover. At times it will feel like a Lovecraft story where you come in to a small community and you know from the start something is wrong, then you discover just how wrong things are.” While Szamalek claims the story will have less emphasis on politics than in The Witcher 2, there is still a place for shadowy manoeuvring. “Another large region is the city of Novigrad, which is based on medieval Amsterdam which has pre-musketeer feel to it, so there’s a political intrigue of cloak and dagger sort of feeling. They don’t worry about food or honour, they want power and gold. This is what motivates them and what makes this environment work. “It’s not only a city, it’s the surrounding forests, fields and residences of the nobles, of the powerful emergent for Geralt to go to parties and learn about the liberal schemes and so on. Again people will be talking in a different way, they are shaped by a different culture and so on.” And it’s a world you can experience in any order. “If you become tired, or bored, you can always go to a different place. What’s exciting about the Witcher 3 main storyline is that it’s not linear structure branching, it’s actually a collection of elements which you have to find, combine and then get a full picture in your head. “Actually the order you can do things influences how you can see them. In an additional play through you can try making different decisions and you can also try doing things in a different order and get a slightly different angle on things. That for me is a unique exciting thing as a story writer as it opens up new possibility for us to tell even more complex stories.” Source: PC Gamer
WhiteWolf
Witcher 3 Dev: PS4 and Xbox One Versions Will “Probably” Differ, Depends on Individual Hardwarehttp://gamingbolt.com/witcher-3-dev-ps4-and-xbox-one-versions-will-probably-differ-depends-on-individual-hardware During Gamescom we caught up with Peter Gelencser, Senior Level Designer at CD Projekt RED to discuss all things regarding The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an open world role playing game and will be out on PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2014. We asked Gelencser about the differences between the three versions, to which he replied: “It depends on the hardware differences. The experience should be identical. The individual little tid-bits might be different of course because they are different hardware. That is the point of it. Of course we are trying and aiming to provide the same awesome experience to everyone, with no compromises,” he said.
