Saala sale hogi hi kitni phr?

They are not targetting sales as their metric of success.

I am fine as long as the end product is good and worth the price.

Iam getting GTX 760 soon...I think GTX 760 can run it on max with Uber Sampling and Fur off :)

I won't be that confident. Even current generation high-end cards are tossed up when you turn on Übersampling in The Witcher 2 which is a Dx. 9.0c game.

The GTX760 is a good card but it does not have the bandwidth bus to compete in the long run in my opinion. I will be surprised if any current generation graphic card can run The Witcher 3 will all bells and whistles ON.

Which brand ?... Palit GTX 760 looks cheap :fear:

Cheap brand

Galaxy

Gainward

Palit

Expensive brands

Asus

Gigabyte

Zotac

MSI

ZOTAC!, GIGABYTE, ASUS and Gainward are the brands I would pick. Out of which Gainward and GIGABYTE should be on the cheaper side of the scale.

Palit as a brand has minimum exposure in India and considering failure rates of hardware better to be safe than sorry in my opinion. Galaxy as such does not exist in India, so no point.

Thr thing is,at the end they would want to earn money and have as many people enjoy their product as possible. A game that they have made with so much effort, they would want it to succeed and enjoyed by maximum people.

They are happy with ~5 million total copies sold so far.

So I am sure if The Witcher 3 sells ~1 million overall or even 2 million immediately on release they will be pleased.

If you think sales are the metrics of success for everyone, you are looking at the wrong developers.

Now can we NOT go into an argument over this. Cheers!

??

If any of your PC hardware gets fried in its warranty period then you put it in for RMA -- Return Merchandise Authorisation, which provides you adequate monetary compensation (for lost hardware) or furnishes you with an equivalent model in the product family.

And if you really think that they wouldnt want to increase their sales then you are wrong. Money is not the only outcome os sales. When you make a product with heart, you would want many people to enjoy it,not just because of the money but because you want more people to enjoy it. Edited by Sach4life

From a PC exclusive to a multi-platform title, I think that is enough to make your point moot. They want to expand their user base but it is not at the cost of the product quality.

Money is a direct outcome of more sales. Although more sales does not mean everyone is happy, case in point Square Enix who have lost it and keep putting their games for absurd sales on a bi-weekly basis and crib about revenue issues.

AGAIN I make this point, CD PROJEKT RED did not go multi-platform earlier simply because it lacked the manpower, they stated it in almost all their interviews. So they are expanding one step at a time and they are doing fine. They are happy with ~5 -->6 million sales for the current Witcher games and they are not really targetting SKYRIM or Mass Effect in the number of sales. PERIOD.

And where did i say that they are gonna compromise their quality in order to get more sales? The simple fact is,that they would and do want to increase their user base and would like as many people to play the game as possible. PERIOD

Not as much as you think. I doubt they would have accepted PS4 and XBox ONE as platforms if they weren't based on PC technology and architecture.

You should see the colourful examples that have been handed out by several alternate RPG players for not playing The Witcher series,

  • '... is boring for the first ten hours.'
  • '... doesn't have a tutorial.'
  • '... choices are stupid.'
  • '... Geralt is a bad character.'
  • '... You cannot choose your character.'

I would prefer these characters don't play the next Witcher rather than the developers cater to their taste.

I dont know why you got the idea that wabting to increase their sales means chaning the base of the game. I never meant that. Making their game exactly like they want, they or for that matter any company/developer would want it to be enjoyed by many.

Then tell me why did it not sell so well, with the latter title on the XBox as well?

Most probably because it was new to the console audience. I cant really say. That doesnt mean they wouldnt want it to sell more.

Witcher 3 would easily sell much much more though.

Speculating why it did not succeed is not my task but CD PROJEKT RED is financially sound enough to carry its own developmental costs now .

So I am not worried whether The Witcher 3 'sells' more or no. Also, let the developers do what they are comfortable with.
