So before playing witcher 3 i wanted to play 1 & 2 so i started palying witcher 1 but it seems like it does not support the xbox 360 PC controller, adding further to the woes the combat is not hack and slash & it requires the player to go near a target & click mouse for 2-3 hits then a flame pointer allows for more hits. You also have to change attack styles using X or Z for different types of enemies.

Is combat in witcher 2 & witcher 3 just like this or does it support hack n'slash or at least skyrim like combat & can i use my xbox 360 controller ?

You can use controller in Witcher 2 and 3.

The combat is a real-time system.

There should be a third-party work around for controller support in the original Witcher, I will post here later in the evening verifying the same. The UI is heavily stilted to mouse and keyboard though.

Combat is much better in W2 & W3 than garbage combat system of W1.

You are garbage.

Combat in The Witcher 1 is decent, especially considering the tech of the era.

Combat in witcher 1 takes some time getting used to. Its not at all garbage, though. However, definitely play witcher 1. Its an excellent game with interesting story and setting. Much better than witcher 2 in many aspects.

Personal attack, bots would have ganged up on you now if its anything related to youknowwhat box. :panic:

Yeah W1 combat is quite good. More strategic side so battle animations and all wernt as good which makes nubs think its bad. Same is the case with dragon age 1.
