What do you guys do when faced with a gang of bandits with an archer in the back? I thought using crossbow is what I'm supposed to do, but now I just run to the archer, kill him, and come back out and kill everyone else one by one.

There are a few skills for this. One of them bounces the arrow off you if you block at the right time, another reflects the arrow damage back at the archer.

Like Alpha said, archery isn't really an offensive means of fighting, it has barely any base damage. it will be useful once you reach Skellige when you are on a boat (won't tell how, its kind of fun to find out).

I'm loving the quests in the game. Every single one has something or the other interesting going on.

Yesterday I did many sidequests. All of them had me really engaged in their stories.

The quest where you meet Letho

The quest with the pigs

The kiera metz quests - Rats in the tower, and the one where you sex her :P

There are some more I can't remember. I stayed up till 4am playing. I'm starting to see why this game got on so many GOTY lists.

I don't mean to sh*t on Skyrim, because I love that game too, but man.. the writing of the quests in witcher 3 makes Skyrim quests look so bland. I'm mentioning Skyrim because thats what I was playing before Witcher

Skyrim aint really a high bar when it comes to writing. Or anything really. :P

So I finished and did I accidentally skip most of the ending cutscenes? Like WTF.

The game never tells you what happened to anyone except Ciri. Triss, Yen, Avalach or anyone else. Ciri walks into the portal/blizzard and then you get a conversation with the king and later Ciri. Thats it?

It just feels like I skipped a good 10 minute long cutscene. That cant be it, surely? O.o

The game gives an account of what happens in the aftermath of that incident.... including the state of the ongoing war, on who'll rule temeria, what happened to the other characters like radovid etc albeit in a pic/graphic image form.... not a cut scene !

Just finished Hearts of Stone :D

Tell you the truth, I was disappointed with the ending. Was looking forward to a good fight against Gaunter O'Dimm.

I have completed ALL the quests, secondary quests, monster contracts, hidden treasures, etc.

Although, there are quite a few "?" remaining on the map. Am finding it a big chore to finish those, especially the ones that are out at sea in Skellige.
