Ripped mods are not allowed on Bethesda.net. All authors give credit to original mod creator in description and they also post direct link to Nexus mod. There was one face texture mod which was stolen from Nexus without permission and it was removed immediately .

 

Creation kit allows modders create mods for both Xbox and PC with ease. So they don't have to make huge effort to Port to Xbox. Ck automatically optimizes the mod for Xbox hardware.

 

Also there are many original mods which are made for consoles exclusively and not released on Nexus.

 

 

When it comes to mods, Bethesda is far better than Cd red. Cd red mod support for Witcher is nothing but joke. It's bad and modding community is almost dead compared to Skyrim and Fallout.

Mods are not just about bug fixing. 90% Fallout mods add content. Like quest mods or new weapons nd all..Only Unofficial patch mod deals with bugs.

 

You yourself used unlimited weight mod to remove weight limit in Witcher 3 lol. Mods like these improve gameplay experience.

Fallout 4 is a SP only game but still it's the most played RPG game on Xblive and Steam coz of mods. It's still in top 10 most played games list with Destiny nd Cod nd all on Xbox. Mods keep game alive for years.

Go check Bethesda terms and condition. It's clearly mentioned there that mods with stolen assets will be removed.

 

They have removed over 30 mods from Bethesda.net coz the users uploaded mods without permission of original creator. QA guys can't check every mod, so they rely on users report about stolen mods.

I am talking about people on pc. Sales of bethesda games on Skyrim. The only reason skyrim sells so much even now is because of mods.

Mislead? People knew exactly how the game looks before the release. The trailer you are talking about was released 1 year before. It is not developers' fault if people are stupid to believe a year old trailer and not hours of gameplay that was shown weeks before release.

CDPR has released a mod kit. It doesn't matter if its not upto the 'standards' of modders.

 

It actually matters because with a half-decent kit, people could go ham.

 

This is counter-played by the fact that most of the content in The Witcher titles is of much, much higher polish and pedigree than anything I have seen since Morrowind's time's (and there was a I time I could not stand that game).

 

Getting major works like Enderal for The Witcher 3 will need some really dedicated folks and an absolutely absurd amount of pedigree to make sure that it matches up to the rest of the game.
