This feels to ACIII what Brotherhood was to ACII, with the difference being that the absolutely unexpected turn of events at the end of II generated a brilliant momentum for brotherhood. Besides the fact that they peaked gameplay mechanics and the story telling with it. With this one you have the disgust of almost everyone at the ending of III and the collective tiredness towards the franchise. Not to mention story being stretched wayyyyyyyyyyyy beyond the breaking point. Since I'm not really following this time round maybe I'm wrong about the 'same old same old' theory so we'll see.
