SRINI87
Ubisoft Confirms That Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag PC Will Be Based On The Next-Gen Version A lot of PC gamers got confused with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Would the PC version be based on the next-gen or on the current-gen one? Would Ubisoft pull a Fifa 14 on us or would the French studio keep delivering polished PC titles (after all, Spliner Cell: Blacklist got an awesome PC version). Thankfully, Ubisoft’s Montreal Community Developer, Gabriel Graziani, confirmed yesterday that our platform will get the next-gen version, and explained the reasons behind the game’s delay. As Graziani pointed out, PC gamers will have to wait a few weeks for a more advanced game (compared to the X360 and PS3 versions that are coming on November 1st). When asked about the delay, Graziani said that since the PC is capable of delivering a comparable level of quality (with next-gen consoles), Ubisoft has to put the same amount of work into it. Moreover, the development team is adding some specific PC-only features – such as DX11 and TXAA – that take time until they are fully implemented. So there you have it everyone. Ubisoft will be giving you the next-gen version of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, though there is no ETA as of yet. A few weeks could obviously mean that we might see this title right before Christmas. src: dsogaming

Heaven Angel
Assassin's Creed IV will take at least 50 hours to 100% Assassin's Creed IV it truly an open world experience. There's so much to do, a ton of things to explore, and it's all happening in a near seamless sandbox.Nearly 50 hours for a guy who knows the game like the back of his hand. Wow. For the rest of us that are not as familiar with the game like this tester is, Ashraf estimates that it will take anywhere from 60 to 80 hours to get a 100% sync.So yeah, 50 to 80 hours. And that's not even factoring how much time you'll invest in the multiplayer, or even the free companion app for mobile devices.http://www.destructoid.com/assassin-s-creed-iv-will-take-at-least-50-hours-to-100--262687.phtml

Heaven Angel
^^It all depends on how you play. I have like 63+ hours on Assassin's Creed III. __ Anyways, Why Assassin's Creed always launches last on PC Decant explained that Ubisoft Montreal will begin development on one "master version" — essentially the first version the studio makes, usually for one console — and focus on it until it's finished. Then work begins on all other versions after, with the high-end PC version made last. "It all depends on what is the master version," Decant said. "If for instance, the [Xbox 360] version was the master version, or the PlayStation 3 version was the master version, then we'd need a little bit more time to adapt it for the PC. But we need to finish that other version first."Because the PC version is the last to be made, the team needs those extra few weeks to make final tweaks and guarantee a highly polished experience, he explained. For Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Decant said the master version was the current-gen console version — both Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs were developed simultaneously on the Anvil game engine."The technology goal we had [for AC4] was for the current-gen," Decant said. From there the PS4 and Xbox One and the Windows PC versions were made. "You need to finish one and make sure that it's clean before you can then finish the others." http://www.polygon.com/2013/10/2/4795024/why-assassins-creed-always-launches-last-on-pc

Razpor
So "we release the PC version last cos we choose to make it and release it last" is what they're saying. lol exactly.. and then they do a little buttering by calling it the"master" version, which it ll be no doubt, but all this to mask their preference to develop for consoles first
Big Boss
And hence the game performs poorly on PC. Hoping for a decent AC4 PC port.
