Heaven Angel
Assassin’s Creed 4′s fleet management locked behind online pass Game Informer has noted that if you don’t have or don’t enter a uPlay Passport code that is bundled with new copies of the game, you will not have the option to add a ship to your fleet when you take it. Thus, you can’t send them off on automated missions to earn some extra loot as you play. When you do this, you have the option of having friends help you move the missions along, but you can do them completely solo if you wanted to. That’s not the worst thing I’ve ever heard of, but it does make borrowing the game from your buddy a little less of a promising concept, which I assume was the point of doing this — online passes are there to encourage you to buy your own new copy of the game. http://www.vg247.com/2013/10/29/assassins-creed-4s-fleet-management-locked-behind-online-pass/ Kotaku: I played the bulk of Black Flag more or less offline on a debug PS3, and after talking to Stephen (who played a retail version of the game online), it became clear that playing online makes it a lot easier to make money. That's because the game contains online-only "social challenges"—gold-laden ships, hidden treasure and rare harpooning challenges that open up and offer you fabulous cash rewards. Stephen had a much easier time paying for the upgrades he needed in the early goings than I did. The "Fleet" minigame, additionally, is only available online. http://kotaku.com/tips-for-playing-assassins-creed-iv-black-flag-1454257997 You have to be online to enjoy AC4 to maximum. Ubilol's DRM strikes again.

DinJo
Yep. The only saving grace of that game I felt they were one of the boring part of AC3, AC4 does not looks like a AC game its a pirate game

ALPHA17
Do ships in real life shoot canons at 360 degrees? Only the turret variants, that too only in the direction the same are oriented to. I think what he wanted was to fire both broadsides together whilst being surrounded by ships on both sides. spindoctor
So how is the game? Big fan of the AC series but I skipped AC3 because it was almost universally panned. I'm ready to jump back in and I'm hoping they've fixed all or most of the problems from the last one.

And try AC3, it is not that terrible if you are a huge fan of AC series.

Agree with the other bit though, this one shoulda be called Pirate's Creed.
Monokuma
Planning on getting this for the PS3. Are the framerate issues very frequent? Does it at any point make the game feel unplayable?
dylanjosh
Some of the vistas are gorgeous. This is the best looking AC game since AC2. @spin - get it. It's pretty fun. The setting and auxiliary characters are the only pieces of the plot that make any sense and feel fleshed out.
Big Boss
It's too late for AC3 now Hmmm true, and anyways the game starts way too late. I started PC playthrough and gave up before I actually got to play Conner.

Ichigo Uzumaki
Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix Shows Up in AC IV: Black Flag Right after Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag back in March, the title “Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix” appeared online, leading people to believe it could be an Assassin’s Creed film or another Vita title. Ubisoft told TheSixthAxis that the listing for Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix was completely untrue and the internet decided to forget about it. Until now. "After sequence 6, I explored the level 2 security areas in the Abstergo Entertainment offices when I came across a sticker placed in a corner that had “Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix” printed on it, stylized exactly as the featured image above. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!" igogaming.net
