Unable to connect to XBOX Live using wireless adapter.

Hello folks!

I had a friend dropping down from the US a few weeks back so i asked him to get me an XBOX 360 Wireless adapter from the US, he did and now that I have it in my hand, I immediately set it up just so that I can have a hassle free wireless gaming experience unfortunately I am unable to connect my XBOX 360 to my WiFi router using the adapter. The connection gets recognized on my XBOX and the password is also same & correct. There are four stages of gateways or links to be established to go through before it gets connected to the XBOX Live service. It goes like this if I'm not wrong,

XBOX 360 --- WiFi Router --- Internet --- XBOX Live.

My connection dies when I try to connect from XBOX 360 to WiFi router itself, I have a successful connection though when I try connecting using my ethernet cable & everything works fine.

I used to use BSNL broadband when I was located in Orissa & after I moved to Bangalore I switched to Airtel but I'm still using the BSNL router provided in partership with Teracom, the model no. of the modem is Teracom T2-B

I have tried calling up Airtel's customer care but they have been of no help at all although they said they'll send a technician to my place sometime soon but highly doubt whether he'll be able to adjust anything.

As of my settings, I looked around and tried doing manual settings cause when I select automatic, everything is 0.0.0.0.
IP Address: 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

DNS Settings: Manual
Primary DNS Server: 192.168.1.1
Secondary DNS Server: 0.0.0.0

Hopefully somebody has a solution!

Did it work?

I've having the same problems with my new console (I need to transfer my license from the old one, along with the media updates) and it simply won't connect to live. I've tried increasing the MTUs, nothing!
