Depends on the game and the configuration you finally you go for.

You should be able to play most current generation titles @1920 x1080 and high eye-candy.

Later generation titles will see you scaling back on certain settings OR the resolution.

Yes you can do that, the current drive with all the data on it can be the primary whilst the added drive can be a data-dump.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

so if i want to copy my previous hdd's data onto the new one i would be able to do it from inside windows

If you want to clone data onto the other drive(s) you will have to use specific software like Symantec's Ghost OR EASEUS Disc Copy.

It ll be easier to use a external hdd to transfer all your needed data and then later transfer it to ur newer pc,cloning the the entire disc to ur new hdd (with windows installation)will make a complete copy including the system files which can interfere with the newer OS on the new pc if not done right, better to copy just what u need to a newer external drive,or convert ur current hdd into an external drive with an enclosure ,thats what i did.

Depends on what your final aim is with the drive.

Cloning can come handy if he wants to use the larger drive as his primary and the latter as the dump but if he just wants to back up data then I agree nothing like copy-paste.

i want to copy the data and want to use bigger hdd as primary and what do u mean by saying another hdd as dump can u explain me

A dump drive is where all the secondary OR not so important data goes.

I dont think you plan on using 2 hdds,if so then its simple just turn ur current hdd into a external hdd .Buy an enclosure for ur drive and set it up,just delete system files and everything u dont need from ur new pc and u r done. Simple dont try too many things.

U can buy enclosures from ebay for pretty cheap..

Why expend more money on such a set-up.

After cloning a drive he can format the older drive and use it as an internal storage drive. Works out cheaper and you get the same use out of it. Added benefit of faster access speeds over the SATA interface vis-á-vis the USB connector on the external.

Well in that case he doesnt need to clone it at all...just leave it set as a 2nd drive and set the new drive as primary in bios.

After that just change the drive letter in disk management, delete all system files from the 2nd drive aka ur current drive and u r set ....no need to clone at all..

Atleast in theory that shouldnt be a problem.

but its accessbile anytime so can i use my current one as dump and use new one as primary and can copy data whenever i need

Are you willing to format the OS partition on the old drive?

How will he salvage his current system settings?

Why would he want to do that ,i dont think he ever mentioned he wants to take his current settings....plus it ll only create conflicts in the new system, better to start fresh.

That is why I just asked him in previous post if he is open to format the old drive.

Also, always better to have a larger secondary drive than primary because that means important data can be mirrored in the secondary; in the reverse scenario it becomes much harder to juggle space.
