This is the guy who reviewed KZ:SF for polygon

Banned on GAF

Cross posting from other thread so people can see what a f**king moron Arthur Gies is:

*sigh*, ok, one more time for the road since I am tired of repeating it :P

LNIytTX.png

He welched on a BET with a GAFer, and then refused to ever come back and pay up. He never returned to GAF. His excuse was he did lose the bet for exactly the reasons said, but for some reason it didn't count because he put the word in "scare quotes."

Evilore called him the most disreputable person in the enthusiast press

Recap: in the wake of the IGDA party dancer scandal, unsubstantiated Twitter rumors surface about women being paid to be in the VIP room of a Mojang party, apparently too attractive and numerous to possibly be there of their own volition (sexism much?). Mojang flatly deny claim and the source of the rumors is rooted out, essentially a game of Twitter Telephone, but a delusional feminist extremist crusader decrees that Notch is still at fault for people thinking that they were paid for even if they weren't, and that he should take some sort of action in reparation. Arthur Gies takes her side and promotes her on Twitter.

The OP is permed for going on a witch hunt (in conjunction with insane extremist posts afterwards) and refusing to update his thread after the attempt at scandal fell apart. Libelous, agenda-driven bullshit.

Arthur Gies is officially the most disreputable person in the enthusiast press.

Read his whole recap, because it's especially damning.

For months and months Arthur Gies has lashed out at gamers for criticizing the Xbox One. He lashed out at us for calling Adam Orth out on his sh*t. He constantly, and consistently makes up abject bullshit because he feels like it - beating the drum that Xbox One had some f**king secret component that would help it compete with the PS4. During the Sim City fiasco, he vigorously defended EA to the bitter end. Seriously, read this sh*t and check out all the links.

The f**king guy is one of the biggest morons ever to grace the enthusiast press.

I think we should just stop discussing polygon score

If it can rate DS3 & that M$ arcade game higher then TLOU then it can go to any extent of idiotic behaviour

Best part is they were banning ppl even for mentioning the money raised by M$ for their site

TLOU was reviewed by Phill Kolar not Arthur Gies....He clearly mentioned his reasons for giving TLOU less score..Go read....Even many IVG members were not that impressed by TLOU..One is Ambar, who got bored by slow combat and still havn't finished the game..

Ok game reviews can be opinionated

But how do you explain them defending M$'s DRM movement

Whole industry laughed at polygon for that

& what about banning ppl just for mere mention of fund raiser from M$

All this is subjective too?!

There are many journalists who defended MS DRM....Polygon was not alone.lol..Also, they liked Family sharing features and all....

Brad Shumacher from GB also defended MS DRM :P ..

& what about banning ppl just for mere mention of fund raiser from M$

This is wrong..I agree..

anyone doubting about polygon spreading FUD should just read this from their PS 4 review.

But our biggest complaint for a controller that some at Polygon otherwise consider the best they've ever used: over the course of 100-hundred plus hours with the DualShock 4, the battery life appears to sit somewhere in the 7- to 8-hour neighborhood, a fraction of the 30-hour battery life on the DualShock 3.

BC what DS 3 controller had 30hr battery?

 you mean wiki.

even that says even the sixaxis gives 30hrs of battery charge despite not having rumble and having the same internal battery. and btw, anyone who every used a DS 3 will know that its not anywhere near.

obviously i dont expect you to understand, but hopefully the day 1 mandatory patch will fix it. ;)

I just need to ask this.

Is this game worth getting a ps4 at launch?

Like Ank said, if you liked any of the previous Killzone games, get it. This game probably looks amazing and probably plays at least as good as the old ones.

The MP of KZ2 (haven't played KZ3 MP much) was great, but it's definitely not like COD, so it'll be fun if you give it a chance.

Buy it :good: at least to show off what the PS4 is capable of.
