Ubisoft has again reassured fans that long-in-the-making adventure sequel Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development - but stopped shy of confirming a release on PlayStation 4.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said when asked for an update on the sequel: "I don't give comments anymore on BG&E2 because I think ... the next time we communicate we have to have something new."
Not specific to the PS4 or any other platform, he told Kotaku simply: "It's coming."
Hardly anything has been seen of BG&E2 since its 2008 reveal trailer at a French Ubisoft event.
Series creator Michel Ancel has recently suggested that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in "active" development for next-generation consoles, stating that "some technical issues" have meant that the game requires "more tech" in order to finish development.
However, the title's construction has more recently been held up by Ubisoft Montpellier's work on Rayman Legends, Ubisoft has suggested, which itself has been delayed until September 2013.

spindoctor to Ubisoft CEO: 'go f**k yourself'

They've been delaying for this entire console generation. BG&E was a PS2 game for f**k sake. This industry complains day in and day out about sexism and the poor portrayal of women in gaming and yet when you actually have games like this one with sensible, believable, not half naked female characters you just sit on them forever.

Rumor says that Michel Ancel is on the verge of leaving Ubisoft. You chase away the creator of BG&E and now you're saying that's "it's coming"? GTFO.
