People say this is Dark Souls of football games and Fifa is COD ? is it true ?

PES for hardcore soccer fans and FIFA is for casual n00bs ?

There was a time till Fifa 08 that it was true

PES was way ahead in gameplay and also owned Fifa graphically. Fifa had only 30% player faces while PES had all . In this Gen Fifa has overtaken PES in pure gameplay. PES has tried but it has not been able to match Fifa due to Ea's money. Fifa has had a superior engine over the last 3 or 4 years. Maybe this might change with the new engine

FIFA MP is the worst, when i play & lose i take it like a man, happened with a guy, he won first match so played the next against me, then i won, we went on for the next, then i score 2 goals in the first half & he rage quits, most of the FIFA players are lame rage quitters, FIFA sells because of the official licensing, it has nothing major going on with it in terms of gameplay, Fifa is like a medicine with 3 years of expiry, the problem is it remains same & it's always like it's stuck in the second year

Which was the last fifa you played ?

Fifa same

Who innovated with TD ? With 1 change Fifa reinvented defending

Who innovated with FUT ?

Who innovated with be a pro ?

Also if you want to play non quitters in Fifa then join us and play some tournies. No one on IVG rage quits .

There is no doubting that PES has been superior in graphics but that's all they have been superior in. You clearly have no idea about a Fifa game or your love for PES has made you blind.

You're the first person saying that.

That is what most of us PES fans say but FIFA fans deny it. :P Sent from my LG-P765 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

This was true till 2008 but that has massively changed over the last few years.

There was a time when every goal you scored in PES was different and that was what made PES so special but Fifa over the recent years has caught up.

How about you play PES on Manual before gauging how realistic/Dynamic PES's gameplay is? Every touch that a player makes feels realistic. Iniesta feels just like iniesta in real life but feels lot different than Xavi/Cesc. Ronaldo feels like Ronaldo and Messi like Messi but Everything about them feels dynamically different on PES including their strides. This goes without saying for most of the players on PES.the 25 attributes or so account for replica of real life players on PES.

Yup PES has always been class in gameplay and that was their huge strength but that has soon been caught by Fifa and by caught I do not mean as good as PES but definitely very close. The things that you mentioned are also in Fifa, every top player feels different to control and run just as their realistic counterparts do

Not just top player In PES every player Like Abumayang,Mathieu,Mangala,Llorente,Bojan,Zapata,Zidan,Varane and i can name another 400 players...They all play like their real life counterparts (according to attributes +,Height, weight etc) .About gameplay I play fifa with friends sometimes and always play FIFAs demos every year on PS3 but it lacks depth.the right analog stick lets you run diagonally 2-3 feet to left or right but in PES with the Movement analog stick itself lets you move/turn in 8 directions depending on agility and width of the player/ preferred leg of the player etc.

I agree that the players who feel real are limited in Fifa. The 8 directions issue is Fixed in Fifa 13 and will be expanded upon in 14. There are areas where PES is superior but even you will have to admit that the gap is very close and not close enough to call Fifa arcady and PES a sim

PES is a brilliant game on Manual. It is as close as it gets to real life football. There are areas where FIFA is better say Crossing,Final Header shots,Maybe through passing is none exploitable in FIFA rest I feel PES on Manual is as good as it gets. I am not judging which elements of FIFA are unrealistic ,I am just stating that which Elements of PES are very good.

Most of the loyal PES fans are well acquainted with Master League which off-lately has been One of the most beloved feature of the ISS/WE/PES series.

You have to work yourself to the best club of the world from Segunda divison to the premier division of a League and qualify for the Champions league spot.

You start with a random team made of unknown players with very low attributes(Or you can choose to start with a team of default players).

Master League lets you take control of a club,Manage its finances,Lets you hire coaches,Lets you transfer players ,Lets you decide whether you want the

players to develop with experience gained by playing matches, lets you upgrade your team players attributes

with licensed boots (having about 7 attributes),Lets you train player ,if needed lets you purchase/use energy drinks to

lower a players fatigue levels....all this and much more ,ultimately to strengthen your football team, which you control in the actual football matches.

Konami decided to take this a step ahead with Master League Online (M.L.O) in PES 2011.

M.L.O has been shaping up positively ,with a step at a time ever since and Konami has unleashed the most rational experience of M.L.O till date with PES2013.

TTPkV9H.jpg

INTERFACE OF M.L.O

You start off M.L.O by deciding a team whose Club logo, kits,Home stadium you will adopt(You can change your 'team name' once if you want to).

Once you have selected your team ,you will be provided with small amount of bankroll (for example 1.5 million euros) and a fringe squad of unknown, unrealistic players having a average overall rating in the range of 55-68(which is the lowest breed of players in the game). You will have to try and test Your team on the training ground or in a actual match to realise how they perform and that which unknown players will form a part of your team and that which ones aren't required at the club.

You can study their attributes and decide their fate but it will take some experience and keen observation before you decide if the players that you have been provided with ,match your team style or not.For example the attributes that will favour a CB the most will be 'Defense,Player response, explosive power, top speed,Body Balance,Defensive form,Height,Weight'.

Whereas the attributes that will favour a striker the most will be 'Attack,Passing accuracy,Passing speed,Ball control,Shooting accuracy,Responsiveness,Explosive power, top speed,Stamina,Tenacity,Team work and Attacking form'.

Ofcourse a speedy player like Eto'o would have very different attributes than comparitively slower player Like Huntelaar who is a good finisher of the ball.

ATTRIBUTES OF A PLAYER DIVIDED OVER 2 SCREENS

Usually a players Transfer fee/Wages are directly proportional to their overall ratings. So higher the overall rating ,higher their transfer fee and higher their 10-50 matches wages. You can buy any player that you like till You are able to pay his transfer fee+minimum 10 matches wages(50 matches at maximum in one time payment) which you have to pay immidiately on signing the player. If a player has been bought beyond his threshold limit by the users in the PES market then a transfer embargo is placed upon him and you cannot buy that player for a limited period of time. The transfer fee of the Football players constantly vary depending upon how many users are buying/selling them.So earlier you buy very good players, you get them at a lower price and later on get to sell them at a higher price if desired to ,when their prices have increased due to their high demand.

Usually you have to upgrade your team with bit better players ,as in comparison to your default squad players ,that too one player at a time if you don't want to run into financial trouble later on.Upgrading your best default striker with a rating of 66 with a striker having overall rating of 70 makes lot more sense instead of rushing into buying average+/world class players.inability to win after upgrading a position by a high margin might lead to financial breakdown.

For example you might sell 5 fringe players and used your remaining bankroll to sign Gyan Asamoah whose overall rating as cf is 81 who costs approximately 8 million euros+80,000k(10 matches fee).

by playing him if you still can't win your matches his contract is being expired as per his match apperances and you will have to repay his wages at the end of 10 matches.while his contract is expiring as per his apperance so would other 10 -15 players contract would expire over their tenure of 10 matches. You might end up with no bankroll to pay up players wages leave alone upgrading other players instead.I Came across many users online who were playing with 9 or 10 players on the field because they were unable to pay wages to their star players.Infact i came across some users who were playing with Tall Centerback as goal keeper ,either because they couldn't repay their goalkeepers wages or because they didn't have a backup goal keeper to their injured goal keeper. So its always better to upgrade your players bit by bit and for every position instead of trying to leap and purchase popular players.

How you improve your clubs bankroll is one of the most important factor of M.L.O. Your club has a team strength depending on the quality of players your club amasses and your club has a rating depending upon how you perform in M.L.O ranked matches.Your teams courtesey level fluctuates depending on how many times you abandon your match or that how many times your internet get disconnected(Either leads to 15 point penalty and 1 match fatigue, contract penalty to every player in your team including reserves.you start off with a team strength of say 450 and your team rating is esablished on how you perform in your first 5 matches. The amount of money you earn against a opponent mainly depends on yours and your opponents team strength. If your team strength is 800 and team rating is 700 and if you win against someone with team strength/rating of 850/670 you would earn about 3 million euros per match but say if your team strength/rating is 460/500 and if you win against someone with team strength/rating of 500/550 you might end up winning just 1 million euros. You still earn half the money for drawing a match and about 1/3rd money if you lose a match.

If you are matched against a player having similar Team strength/rating as yours then their is a special prize at stake for the winner of the match. say additional 5 million euros in addition to the base money.apart from that you have weekly 25 rival users who tend to be at similar level as you.....Top 10 spots win percentile of the pot with Top 3 spots of riavl rating winners share 70 percent of the prize pot with the winner winning about 3-11 million euros (depending upon your team strength/rating).

You can play M.L.O /Ranked matches on Manual passing/shooting by simply changing your passing assistance bars to zero.In that case you match making system will set you up against a player with the same assistance levels.IMO Manual is the way to move ahead if you desire fair, creative football.

The best players that you come across in M.L.O are the ones that know their team strategy.you can change the teams attack/defense parameters as they suit your team style combined with your team formation,it really affects how your team performs against opponents.

TACTICAL SLIDERS

Your players will usually get fatigued if they aren't rested enough or if your club isn't winning much.If the player is always fatigued it is better to sell him off

as his performance arrow will usually be downwards and that he will tire out easily. You can judge by a players posture in the squad list menu if he is happy at the club or he is a liability to the team.

PLAYERS VARYING BODY LANGUAGE INDICATING THEIR LONGTERM FORM

If you want a total experience of making a world class squad by starting off at the bottom then M.L.O is the place for you.as lethal, punishing and frustrating it can get ...it is equally rewarding once you figure out the teams best strategy with the players you have at the club.It might take you about 250-350 matches before you can finally settle with a world class club but by the time you reach that stage you will have knowledge of nearly all the under-rated,upcoming players in the world.

You will literally have to rely on good players from average clubs like Donstek,St Etienne,Schalke,Porto,Celtic,Moscow while you are building up your squad.

Initially you will have to opt for defenders who aren't even good defenders but are strong, tall and wide....you can upgrade them with defenders who can only defend well but can't pass or go ahead and then lastly you can upgrade them with defenders of your choice before moving on to world class defenders and the same goes for strikers who are only speedy or only good finishers of the ball but tire out easily or midfielders who can only defend or pass around before you can sign players who are overall very good.Initially Players like Baros,Zidan,Robbie Keane,Albelda,Eduardo,Ameobi might be the heroes of your team but with hasslefree, right decision making ,slowly but surely you will build a world class squad over a period of 250-350 matches.

All in all M.L.O is a huge experience by itself. If you are The kind of person who plays 20-25 football matches a week ,you can easily immerse yourself in M.L.O for 6-8 months. There will be times when you will just sit and study the attributes of your potential targets, compare your targetted players wages, transfer fee and leisurely spend timedeciding the best formation and tactics for your team.I rate my PES13's M.L.Os experience as deep, immersive, frustrating yet rewarding and all in all lot of fun. There are no shortcuts to winning here ;)
