Ne0
Just lets discuss our roots, when , where or how did u happen to hook onto gaming ? Oh well, I'm bored anyway, so i'll type: My first gaming was in my school where they had installed prince of persia on one of the "MS-BASIC" lab computer in our school. Some of us got so much into that game, we almost decided to give up our P.T time of playing out to game inside. Then, I got into the 3D gaming world of Wolf-3D at my cousin's place, and games like NFS, Doom/Quake, Roadrash at my Uncle's place, who had been given a free computer by his company. To be honest, till date, I remember my excitement while playing doom....that game never got boring....first, the easy, then the hard and when all is done, the ultimate - "ultra violent" mode. Well thats how it continued, and I'm still gaming, the only two games, which had me really excited about gaming were doom and GTA 3, personally I feel, both games in a way redefined the gaming genre ! If you see, most of the FPS that come now still follow the same basic weapons of doom - a handgun, a machine gun, a shot gun and a rocket launcher ! and GTA 3 made the open-endedness and sandbox style of gaming popular....so much so that, every sandbox game is now titled a gta clone ! okie, thats it....type your experiences along.....will be good for others to read (hopefully ) ! shaiTaaNi billi
Well my gaming started as soon as i started visiting my friend harsahil who was hooked to gaming, we both used to travel around 2 to 3km just to reach our sacred place.....the arcade game shop. the first game that i played was the Double dragon........it was a marvelous experience then slowly this thing became an addiction and there wasn't a day when we didn't played games. then came the 16bit era which was a revolution in the gaming scene, we were just mesmerised by the awesome gpx of snes, i think i spent a fortune in the arcade shop and now i'm forced to think if it was a stupid childish outburst of hyper teen energy that made me do all that stuff......lol. i'll never forget the year 97 when my friend finally brought a playstation one, it changed us completely and we became hardcore gamers coz we used to complete games in a single night which is still not a problem to us, games like god of war was and mgs3 was completed in a single night............................complete insanity it seems to most of the people including most chicks i know. now i have all the major consoles but just one missing and that's ps3 which surely i'm gonna get next year for sure, i'm just afraid of one thing and that's my future..........what if my partner didn't let me play games or worse broke my beloved console..................it's a nightmare which i never wanna see. cheers for the future and cheers for all the sleepless nights

HOglegtrausavo
The first time i played a video game was Mario on my mom's computer when i was 4 or 5.I used to play all day long and my parents had to make excuses to get me off the computer.I remember my mom telling me that Mario just called her up and told her that he wants to eat something so i should leave him to rest for some time and have something for my own.I happily accepted that one
CarbonCore
My first console... Got it during early/mid 80s I think. It was the only handheld I owned until PSP, moved on to NES, SNES, Sega Genesis and Arcade machines. Played every imaginable fighting game in 8/16 bit. Then hooked on to PS1 with Tomb Raider, GTA and FF7. Then bought PS2, Xbox and all the current gen consoles and handhelds. Never played on PC, somehow I never felt like playing on KB/Mouse setup. Besides, FPS is my least favorite genre, so didn't care for WASD combo.

Emo-Iwata
My first console... awesome i also had that when i was a kid as for my gaming history it started with atari 2600 but didn't care for it much my real love for gaming started during the NES days, super mario bros. being the first game i played back then i was amazed at how the NES games looked so much better than those that were on the 2600,i even made comics during that time making fun of this fact, fun times.
