boltonfan Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 Have my ps3 connected to my crappy hp monitor. Monitor isn't full HD, but connected it to the ps3 through a dvi-hdmi cable. Was working fine until now, but I'm just getting a blank screen now. There is video output from the ps3, but the screen is just backlit blank. Ps3 is on (can hear sound through 2.1 speakers.) Have tried changing cables too. I've tried resetting the video settings and I also get the "do you want to display through hdmi" message, but as soon as i press no, it goes blank. Usually as soon as I pressed no, the system would start and I would be manually be able to choose 720p from the video settings. Also, the monitor setting shows that its at 50hz on dvi, whereas it should be 60. I've tried to increase that but am not able to. Its on 60 hz on vga though.
