I love her a lot and I can't imagine my life without her, but there are times when it becomes unbearable, but I guess that's why they call it marriage You gotta work hard to make it work Mr. Gaara, Loving your wife is not enough, in marriage it's important that you also respect your spouse. Yes, there may be instances where you might find her not smart or sharp (And just because someone is computer illiterate doesn't make them a fool) , but let me assure you, there might also be many incidents where you would have acted stupid as well. Point is, she tried to ban the aerated drinks, since she care about you and guess what she is not entirely wrong. But, your comment about her, her folks, and this incident are outright rude, It is also STUPID to mention stuff like this about your wife on a public forum. My mom and dad are long gone (expired). My dad and my sister were the only people who could understand me properly. My sister's got married, and she's in her own home. Am all alone here. Gaming is the only thing that cheers me up these days and my wife doesn't like it at all. She literally PHYSICALLY hates my Xbox (my last console left). She doesn't even like the idea of me playing it on a Sunday, barely for 2 hours. She just doesn't understand that I need something to relax and unwind, even after pointing out it's similar to how she needs her stupid idiot box and her mind-numbing saas-bahu serials. They earn money 24/7, 365. Once you get into the whole thing and come back home all exhausted, "you won't need your xbox." FYI, I work hard day and night, sometimes even till 2 a.m. I only get free time either on a Sunday or a Monday, whichever the company decides. @KG: You said you're in the medical profession. What do you do ? Am a Senior Quality Analyst (Medical Transcription) and I work for a transcription company here in Mumbai. She tells me to go out and meet with other people and come up with ideas to earn more money and that I won't be able to do any of that until I COMPLETELY STOP playing the Xbox. She doesn't even understand there is a time and place for everything. She sometimes even gets furious if I start playing the Xbox at 10:30 p.m. I mean c'mon. I know we just took a home loan with an EMI of 17k per month for 20 years and I know we can pull through this but she just doesn't seem to understand. She just keeps saying "this is our fate" "we are doomed to be like this." She's got a lot of negativity in her. I keep assuring her that things will get better. They already are. We are out of our debt except only the home loan to worry about, we now own our own home rather than previously living on rent, we don't have any kids to worry about (yet), and that everything is looking up (touchwood), but she just doesn't understand. Am really tired of all this. Believe it or not, I haven't touched my xbox in 2 months, have a lot of headache, and just don't know what to do.
