Scared my cousin last night.

 

I got up to get some ice cream last night around 2:45AM. My cousin was sleeping in the hall (where the fridge is) and as I opened the door of my room, I saw him going into the balcony (adjacent to the hall) where the bathroom is. I was reading this thread before I got out of the room and I decided to jump my cousin up.

 

It wasnt pitchblack in the hall, but it was dark enough to not be able to tell who or what is in front of you. I waited patiently behind the balcony door, and soon my cousin came back from the bathroom.

 

So, I was standing behind the balcony door, and as my cousin was closing it after coming back into the hall he saw me standing behind it.

 

I knew he was able to see me (or my structure to be precise), but he didnt know who was standing there. He stood there for like 10 seconds holding the door.. ABSOLUTELY STILL !!! I did the same.. none of us moved an inch for some time.

 

It was getting really hard for me to content my laughter and so I decided to do something.. I whispered some gibberish in a high pitched sharp voice, "Khaspas..."... and believe me he went, "AAAAAHHHHH !!!" and dashed out in the balcony.

 

I wanted to continue this, but my laughter gave in.. and I started laughing.. he came in and started cursing me.

I hugged him, apologized, picked up my ice cream and came back to bed :)

 

:rofl: :rofl: I love jumping up on like that people but haven't had a perfect opportunity yet, like the one you got.

 

This one is again related to my mom. Around 10 years back or something.. Morning around 6 am my mom woke up to prepare breakfast for my dad as he has to leave for work at 7. My mom had finished preparing tea and came to the hall she saw my grand father (father's father) sitting on a chair in the hall. My mom got scared and told my grand pa that you should not come like this and scare us and she went to bedroom to wake up dad. She told my dad of what happened. They both came to hall to see. But by then my grandfather was gone. My dad made fun of my mom saying she must be hallucinating because my grandfather was in coimbatore and not in bangalore. Then later that day we got a telegram from my native saying that this morning my grandfather expired. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

I have pussy friend who wouldn't even go downstairs to pee at night (4 am), and he ended up peeing outside the balcony on his neighbour's 'chapra' :rofl: :rofl:

I have similar thought, but one step further. Not only is it not mandatory for aliens to have a life form based on our earth based elements, carbon may just not exist there. The dominant life form could very well be a cloud of gas. We might even not recognise them even if it were right in front of us. We are doing it wrong by assuming a humanoid figure.

 

 

Another thing that I can think of is that there are aliens but they are just so advanced and superior in terms of tech and society that they would not have any reason to visit or contact us. Think about it, if aliens are capable of visiting earth then they are capable of travelling atlest across solar systems (if not galaxies) while we haven't been able to send men to all planets we know of. What could we possibly offer to them for them to take interest in earth ??

To quote dr. Manhattan "this world's smartest man is no more a threat to me than its smartest termite".

 

 

And one last argument for now is that aliens might not exist at all. At lest not in a form comparable to intelligent industrious forms like us humans. Have read an argument wherein dr. white coats suggest that occurance of human life on earth is a result of culmination of geological and astronomical events so random yet so microscopically precise that chances of them panning elsewhere are highly unlikely:

 

-Coordinates of earth in the solar system.

-properties of our central star, the sun.

-size of our orbit around sun, is what prevents us from burning or freezing to death. Size of our orbit, not a given distance from sun.

-size, number and distance of our moon that keeps earth on a stable axis and prevent rapid catastrophic climate changes.

-the sequence of geological ages that gave the proper conditions for an intelligent life form.

-Jupiter. Helping us survive like a solid enforcer, blocking derbies.

 

All in all the conditions required for not only existence but also sustainence of a comparable life form look rather one in a bajillion.

I feel like there may be simple organisms, but it is highly unlikely for intelligent life ( comparable to us humans) to exist, considering the millions of factors that had to go right just for life on earth, and out of the millions of species of living organisms on earth, there is only one.

But then again, we do not know how big the universe is.

 

Just for a second imagine that aliens do not exist. Then we are the single most amazing thing in the universe :O

 

Yeah but gets me thinking is how were they able to influence her by just rubbing something on her feet. She didn't inhale/eat/drink anything. And all of this happened like instantly. Maybe they used a needle or something to inject something while rubbing the oil but we didn't find any marks.

Even if it is true, I'm scared to think that such a thing exists that can make you do anything just by using some drug and that the drug is commonly available to petty con people like those ladies.

 

Exactly the same thing happened to my friend only last month. He had gone to MP, i dont remember the name of the city but it was a fairly small one. He was alone and had dinner at some road side dhaba. After having dinner he was watching some guys play cards (gambling) and the next thing he knew he is standing by the road. He checked his wallet and all the money was gone. He then faintly remembers gambling away all his money.

Even if Aliens do exist, it is not 100% that they are intelligent. Infact, it is unlikely that they are.

 

 

We are used to thinking of intelligent life, as an inevitable consequence of evolution, Hawking emphasized, but it is more likely that evolution is a random process, with intelligence as only one of a large number of possible outcomes.

 

Intelligence, Hawking believes contrary to our human-centric existence, may not have any long-term survival value. This blew my mind. He's right. Intelligence is not a pre-requisite to survival.

Survival ? There were maybe too many underwater predators that some had to migrate.

 

And its well known that they first became amphibians and then terrestrial organisms , the reasons might be different at different stages.

Was it that plants came out first, started appearing on land and organisms followed? Survival is not a very fitting answer for me.

Simple that we need n environment suitable to our body temp, both land & water are affected differently by changing seasons.

Just a theory, anyhoo enough OT
