nearly all such fits can be traced to mental health (or lack thereof). just that old timey world didnt have the extent of knowledge we have now in neuro-psychatric science so it got termed as demon posession. also exorcism is a lucrative business without any accountabilty so that's that.

Really? If you judge it on those factors, then there are several videos that claim real possession incidents as well with many more movies based on these. Also, psychiatry is a well paying lucrative business as well.

no what i meant is the videos showed the exorcism etc done on the premise of devil posession. they are old videos in their original form.

 

then you have a mythbuster like team of psychiatrists (as in medical doctors, not psychologists-which imo are no better than exorcists, tantriks) and neuro scientists who analyze the video and explain the actions of the sufferer wrt the mental disorder that suits best. sort of videos within a video.

 

 

not all medically insane behaviour can be explained by attributing it to a particular disorder but that just means there is some illness that we havent discovered yet. even chicken pox was thought to be a mysterious curse from gods at one point of time, in middle ages we had plague in europe that wiped out half the population and its total unawarness among doctors gave the religious sects like Flagellas (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagellant) their 15 mins of fame.

Science never claimed to be complete , its still evolving and growing , we don't know everything because a lot of it is out of our reach and we are still trying to approach it.

 

Think about this , centuries in the past you would have questioned air , the weather , the sun etc. but science has evolved your thinking of them , and the questions likr what is dark matter are by product of science . Many many years down the line children will ask something else citing dark matter is an easy to understand concept . Times evolve , so does science.

 

Also the question why we exist , why this, why that , are immaterial , you just do .

and just to say, it's all matter of that thing floating in your cranium which weighs 1400g in air as opposed to 25g in CSF, yes, "The Brain"...and it's still to be fully explored, even science doesn't know when will they fully have knowledge about it, but one day it eventually will

I din mean invisible to naked eye....air,electricity etc is made of particles that are visible on atomic level

Gravity is not a matter.....it is a force caused by the matter

 

You'll be surprised to know that our galaxy is bound together not because of the gravity of visible matter(stars,planets,gasses etc)

But it is bound together because of the immense gravity of the invisible matter.....smthing we don't see or feel

 

Coz it's something that doesn't react to the visible matter.....it's the anti-matter/dark matter

It passes right thru you,me, the planets,the stars & everything that is made of atomic & sub atomic particles

 

Yet it's so immense In it's mass that it's gravity is stronger then all visible matter in the galaxy combined

It is what keeps the galaxy intact & bound

 

 

& black hole is still as big a mystery To science as a tv's remote control is to a dog

Many even say that black hole's are the key to every answer in this universe & it's creation

 

 

dark matter is composed primarily of a not yet characterized type of subatomic particle

 

Also, anti-matter and dark matter are totally different

 

And dark matter reacts with visible matter

yeah.

 

moreover at extreme levels the line between science and supernatural gets blurred. what seems mysteriously unexplainable to us now can be a common knowledge a 100 yrs from now. just as a cell phone and its tech would seem supernatural to some one from 18th century.

 

problem is when you start believing in unreasoned and random supernatural stuff leading to superstition. these black holes, antimatter etc are unknown right now but they still have some levels of predictability and associated scientific basis.... quite different from watching videos in night vision shot of a teenage boy sitting butt naked in a tree and believing in ghosts.

This story happened a while ago near Kells, County Meath, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale... it's true.

John Reilly, a Cavan man studying in UCD, was on the side of the road hitchhiking back to Dublin on a very dark night and in the midst of a big storm.

The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly, he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped.

John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got into the car and closed the door... only to realize there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on. The car started moving slowly.
John looked at the road ahead and saw a curve approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life.

Then, just before the car hit the curve, a hand appeared out of nowhere through the window, and turned the wheel. John, paralyzed with terror, watched as the hand came through the window, but never touched or harmed him.

Shortly thereafter, John saw the lights of a pub appear down the road, so, gathering strength; he jumped out of the car and ran to it. Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and started telling
everybody about the horrible experience he had just had.

A silence enveloped the pub when everybody realized he was crying... and wasn't drunk.

Suddenly, the door opened, and two other people walked in from the dark and stormy night. They, like John, were also soaked and out of breath. Looking around, and seeing John Reilly sobbing at the bar, one said to the other...
