Anyone ever have any experiences with lucid dreaming/sleep paralysis etc?

My friend just had this case of sleep paralysis and she was really, really disturbed about it for a few hours. It's hyper real and at the same time you know you're dreaming. Can't think of anything more mind-bending than that. If you have any experiences, do share!

 

Guys did anyone of you had the feeling that whats going to be happening right now all sounds familiar and you were completely aware of it in the past but yet cant remember the exact details...

Yeah, it's called deja vu IIRC. It's happened with me a LOT of times tbh and most of the times, I relate with a vision I've seen in a dream or something. But anyone notice you only have an inkling of the event, and not the details? I read somewhere that the brain does a really great job at finding patterns out of chaos, and it regularly picks on stuff happening around you all the time. The conscious, subconscious and the unconscious - all contribute to this activity and keeps storing them and references to them time to time. Now when deja vu 'occur"', basically the brain is kinda data mining all that it has picked on, does number of permutation-combinations and attaches precious memories, puts it in a blender and gives it to you in the form of "ohh sh*t I've seen this before!"

I think a lot of people have experienced sleep paralysis at some point. I have.

 

Also my younger sibling has a chronic Sleep paralysis problem. It been happening to him off and on for over 5 years now. Initially he used to be afraid to sleep. Now he's so used to it he's trained himself to pass thru it unfazed.

Only time i experienced anything close to sleep paralysis is about few years back when i had very high fever due to malaria. I'm still not sure what it was, could be hallucination but it was scary. What happened was that due to high fever i was struggling to get sleep. After lying on bed for hours, i finally dozed off and then suddenly i woke up in the middle of the night where i could not move a single muscle in my body. I felt as if my body has been raised in the air from my bed and then whole room started rotating violently. After few minutes it all stopped and i was able to move my body. It was such a vivid experience that i still remember each detail and that feeling of being raised in the air from bed is surreal.

yep even happened to me a many times, feels like all this has happened before and i was present at that time.. but just can't remember when this happened.
