LAN Setup at Home

I'm planning to set up a LAN at home so that friends can come over for LAN parties. Nothing can match the fun playing with friends under the same roof! :punk:

Now, I need to know the hardware I'd require to set things up. I already have a D-Link 5 port switch. Do I need anything more?

Also, it'd be great if someone can guide me how to set things up! Cheers!

I have LAN parties all the time , but I'll let someone else elaborate because I am too lazy ( So are you BTW , some simple googling would have answered all your questions )

Its really cool to hear that you are having a LAN party.... just a simple question.... Are u gonna connect via Wi-fi ???????/ Also what is your broadband from your ISP?

Planning to connect via Ethernet. Using 2 Mbps from BSNL. Btw, how does the bandwidth matter? I'm planning to use a switch!

Yes, I'm lazy. But seeing the sparse responses I got in this thread, I figured it out myself through Google.

What else do you need apart from a switch and ample power plugs and cables?

Nothing at all :P its even easier if you have wi fi devices , I have 4 wi fi enabled desktops at home ( moms office ) , awesome Minecraft LAN partys every time friends come over.
