The game will include all new characters in a new world, rendered on an all-new engine. Stephen Gaghan, writer of Traffic and Syriana, is working on the script. Players will also have dogs as part of their squad, rendered from scans of real service dogs. The dogs can protect the team and sniff out explosives. Maps will be dynamic and will feature events like earthquakes and floods. Player-driven events like opening doors and explosive traps will also alter the flow of the map. "It will be the best Call of Duty game we've ever made," said Activision's Eric Hirshberg. Developer Sledgehammer Games, who assisted in development on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, noted via Twitter that the studio is not involved with Ghosts, though recent job listings suggest the company is working on a Call of Duty title. praveer Posted May 22, 2013 Report Share Posted May 22, 2013 You lads are forgetting something, this is a cross gen game that will also release on 360 and PS3 AND target 60FPS on these old machines, because of this sole reason it's not built ground up with next gen in mind, so unlike Battlefield 4 which will have a downgraded version of the real game on PS360, this game will be simply an upgrade for the next gen with added features. In theory it sounds the same, but considering the way development process works, these are two entirely different things. Should I point out your attention to how Call of Duty 3 looked (and this game ran at 30FPS)? Compare that to Black Ops 2 which targets at double the framerate After playing Modern Warfare 3 I was convinced that the new Infinity Ward team lacks the art to create a good looking game even if provided with the tech, Modern Warfare 3 looked very disjointed with f**ked up colours and flat lighting compared to Black Ops 2. I am just waiting for next year for Treyarch to come up with their stuff considering they are easily the superior developers here when it comes to gameplay, writing and tech. Till then, You do realise that one of them is taken from a streaming video while the other is from a frame grab ? Of all the things character models in COD games are always top notch and this one will be not a single point behind Crysis 3 in this area because it's using the same shaders and has the same level of complexity as Crysis 3 model. That is, sub surface scattering and tessellation for polycount and multiple high res textures for characters.
