Shameful act from Star Trek game developers - Boosting rating!

Recommended Posts

Well after non-stop bugs and glitches and NO reviews, developers "actually" made multiple accounts on Metacritic to boost the sale.

Really shameful act..They also started lying on Steam forums and Twitter.

Watch this:

Kenneth Lindenbaum
Senior Producer, Star Trek The Video Game

The guy gave 10 for PC, XBOX and PS3

Such a shame and another reason NOT to pre-order any game :samui:

Really bad . Btw why this is not reviewed yet ?

@joe - I hopes you haven't preordered it yet

I think they didn't send any review copies or waiting till 26 (EU release date).

edit: Got my refund :D

TBH , it's hard figuring out who's responsible for licensed IP's being THIS bad these days A pub who rushes the shite level QA to coincide with the IP's mainstream release or the studio sucking on to the IP's name and burning cash they do not own.

Unless and until the consumer votes with his wallet , this won't change and things will be taken for granted. Good that's happening quite a lot lately for some high profile gaming IP's. DmC , Gears of War Judgment etc

games based on movies never do quite well..

Try these.

The only freedom a developer cribs about these days are the restrictions to the events that happen on the big screen counterpart , whereas " most " of the games above translate the silver screen to a controller in the best " creative " ways possible. It's just a modern-day myth that " if you shy away from the original script and make your own = you make a great game based on a movie."

* Honorable mention - X2 - Wolverine's Revenge and a handful of others.

I'm actually playing this right now (instead of Bioshock : Infinite which I am only 1/3rd of the way through). But only cos I got it free :lol:

Playing it on the 360, the graphics on this game are shitty and the controls are so finicky, not too responsive. Plus kinda buggy. The 'game' is bad, the story is decent. And I'm only playing it because I want to know the entire story that leads up to the new movie.

Holy sh*t lol :lol: They didnt even try to cover their tracks did they? Hilarious.

Also, who the hell expects a movie-based game to be good? If you consider yourself a hardcore gamer, you should at least know that the thumb rule is to assume all movie licensed games are bad, unless proven otherwise by revews/forum impressions etc
