Regarding upgrade, I'll wait for next-gen consoles release and inevitable 8** series.

ALPHA17
What?? Yes, silicon that is not good enough to go into a TITAN card goes here. If there are any SMX units that are faulty they are fused off, thus, no chance of unlocking extra graphic prowess. 770 is 680 with faster clocks i guess Already mentioned that these are not the GK10* cards, these are failed TITAN's being repurposed. Apparently failure rates are high enough to drive them in this direction.

ALPHA17
WTF?..Not gonna buy any Nv gpu now....AMD ftw...Nv waaley chor hai... That will be the lamest excuse for skipping a companies products (apart from driver issues). Even AMD has resorted to doing so although in a less restrictive manner. The HD6950 2GB could be flashed with the HD6970 BIOS to turn it into the latter card. It has even occurred in AMD's processor lineup. Quad-core processors had two cores binned, sold as a dual-core processor, later depending on your luck these could be unlocked and stably used in day-to-day operations. I dont think so,games are getting demanding by the day, bioshock infinite on ultra used upto 2gb even on 1080p and thats a current gen game. But yeah agreed ,8** series is what we need to look out for. So titan has such a high production failure rate, interesting.
ALPHA17
So titan has such a high production failure rate, interesting. Looks like so. Anyway it is good money for silicon that would otherwise would have been wasted and counted as a dead loss to nVidia.
SRINI87
HD9970 looks like a real deal The 20nm chip has 4,096 Stream Processors, four geometry engines, 16 SPUs (serial processor units), 256 TMUs, 64 ROPs and a GDDR5 interface of 512 bits. http://news.softpedia.com/news/AMD-HD-9970-Hawaii-Detailed-Volcanic-Islands-GPUs-Set-for-Late-2013-351659.shtml

ALPHA17
All that aside, all of you seem to forget that Nvidia took a massive dump on pricing for India. Compared to AMD/ATI pricing, it's a f**king joke. A GTX 670 for 25-27K is bullshit pricing. I'm expecting the same for the 7xx series. It seems that all they want to do is sell Tegra BS. I wanted to mention that pricing will be pathetic but I think that should be apparent since it is nVidia. And their track record is near spotless in this case. Also when you have people who will put more money for a Do-GB walaa nVidia card than an AMD / ATi equivalent, you will get such results. These are Keplers, Tegra is in the mobile space if am not wrong.
piper
It is amazing how these companies manage to "research and develop" newer and faster products each year.
ALPHA17
It is amazing how these companies manage to "research and develop" newer and faster products each year. It is the technology, Sire. Took us close to ~30 years to miniaturize from valve based computing to the transistor based IC's. Then took ~20 years to compress that for home usage. Ten years down the line, we have quad-core phones. Go figure. Technology regurgitates means to advance itself faster, every-time.
