Heaven Angel
Interesting: "Resource monitors for RAM and CPU consumption numbers, memory viewer for trying to figure out what makes it tick and track address issues, SSD analysis tools for those delicious dead blocks and data tracking Wanna know average number of times parts of LotF exe code are tossed around between RAM and HDD in the span of one hour? 150000 copy/write iterations. That's about 10000 times more than usual. DRM constantly decrypts the game code into the memory and encrypts it back. This is the most bullcrap usage of encryption software I've ever stumbled upon. And even though code chunks are quite small(couple of kilobytes per go at worst), they are all stored in one memory block. And playing the game for 4-8 hours(depends on SSD quality) means that you can say goodbye to that block." This has been a success for publishers so far. Won't be surprised if other publishers start using it too. =/ Edited November 17, 2014 by Heaven Angel

ALPHA17
Interesting So basically it is going to chew up your SSD the longer you play the game.
GiGz
So basically it is going to chew up your SSD the longer you play the game. Does that happen with Fifa 15 coz it uses the same DRM.
ALPHA17
Does that happen with Fifa 15 coz it uses the same DRM. Someone should actually tally and confirm or disprove this. If it is indeed the case, once more the paying customer is getting their a*s reamed.

For now i moved fifa to my HDD.

Heaven Angel
It doesn't affect anything. Just a bogus news spread before Dragon Age: Inquisition release. Also, SSD performance drops when the drive itself fails and that doesn't happen before a petabyte of writes. (unless it's faulty drive). People are playing FIFA since September and no one has reported any issue with SSD or HDD.
KiranB28
Is this worth buying? It's currently on sale for INR 2,750 as part of Sony's "12 Days of Christmas" sale, for today only.

Heaven Angel
Bit early for Christmas, eh? Anyways, digital copy is not worth the price. It's short and stupid. Play once and sell type of game. Better wait for a better deal. $10-20, max.
ALPHA17
Better wait for a better deal. $10-20, max. He is not on PC, so unless PlayStation Network prices do not reach such lows or the game get bundled for PSN+ subscribers he does not have much choice. Kiran, look at this deal. GiGz
Write endurance of SSD depends on the type of NAND and the capacity of the SSD and a lot of other factors. Its not the same for all SSDs. Not always a petabyte, its can vary from few hundred TBs to multiple petabytes . Edited December 4, 2014 by GiGz
