If you guys say that LSG Plan A were cheating then please show some proof to prove your point... otherwise it's just plain useless to crticize them even if they did cheat! guys there is no point crying about it now. aks is right.....they had 4 console games to compete in as well. and they sucked in cricket but their nfs player was killer and fight night player was good as well. they were good in fifa too, but siddarth (from consoul, our team) did defeat him in the fifa individual tourney. they were no doubt good in crysis....and even if they hacked, cheated, or whatever.....its over now. they dominated from elims all the way to the finals. i just feel they got lucky to get thru with two average console game players throughout the tournament.....and 5 mad crysis shooters...with or without hacks lol anyway they had a gameplan......the teams that lost didnt!! i just feel vixture gave away a lot of money without conducting the tournament correctly, even though we placed among the top 8, the ratings would have been affected greatly if there was a league system and would have been more fair... also if the sys admin was the same guy as the lsg center owner....i feel its unethical.. a player from team cinque did say that he saw someone put 4 usb sticks in the computers before their match.....too bad he didnt raise an alarm...not that e suspected foul play anyway. also @aks all the computers were not checked for misuse. only One computer was checked and that to for activity like insertion of usb drives etc through the vista control center. i was present outside the crysis arena when that happened and none was allowed to go in the arena and the officials just crowded around the system so it was impossible to see what exactly went on.....later an announcement was made that there was no foul play....i feel the demos need to be released in their entirety for scrutiny and clear you'll from this controversy. there is so much money involved that these things are inevitable.... to the people who say vixture was gay.....i would say they might not have the games you play, but they are games nevertheless....even we dont play fight night or cricket or crysis...but we bought the games and practiced... hope vixture comes back again next year, without selling out to a single game publisher, with some real games...... my $0.02 till then, congrats to lsg and aks, a personal challenge in gears of war..... peace, gizmo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

One thing me and my pals observed was that team LSG Plan A & B's name was always on top, but they always got to play against easy clans (atleast until quarters). We were discussing over a lunch, and i said "do you think team LSG is linked with the organizers? Do you think their matches against weak teams were fixed in the board rooms?" and my pals said "dude, that's very likely. It's a common thing in india". but we finally ended the argument by saying "but we can't do anything since we've no proof." Later on, there was a "Push ups" contest running in one of the zones, and whoever could do the most push ups goes away with a Goodie bag. Atleast 3-4 people did 36 to 44 push ups for a goodie bag each. But we were shocked to know when a random person was chosen to play against Upen patel in Fight night r3 and he got a PS3. We were in deeper shock when bunch of 4-5 girls just appeared out of no where at the event, and walked away with a PS3 by just playing a race! We were like, WTF! these people are giving PS3's to undeserving, uncontested tasks! One more thing i observed was that the Vixture people were deciding which teams sits on what side of the crysis zone. And strangely, most of the teams who were sitting on the left side were complaining about framing, lagging, mouse pad problems, etc. and they were also ending up losing. Also, i think the people who funded the event are Zero Friction (i think they're from SG or HK, not sure) but the people who partnered and organized the event for vixture are IGL. www.indiangamersleague.com If you check that website out, one of the winner of Team LSG (akS!) is a writer on that website. Makes one really wonder. But believe me when i say that the Vixture guys at the event were TOO friendly with team LSG. Had they been similarly friendlier with some other team i wouldn't have pointed this out. One more thing which needs to be pointed out is, during the mumbai qualifiers atleast 1 team (Kalachowki knights) were knocked out, but it was rather strange to see them at the main event. One can check at www.vixture.com -> national finals -> mumbai .. to see the list of teams which qualified from Mumbai. And the aforementioned team is not on that list. Also, there was this incident where an opponent of a team (T7) from Kolkata didn't show up at the event. Well usually what happens is if the opponent doesn't shows up the team gets a walk over. But something strange happened with these people. They were forced to play against team GFT (God's favourite team) from KOLKATA! GFT's match was scheduled against a team which appeared a bit late for whatever reasons. Now despite their objection and protest, they were forced to play against each other! Now i personally find this VERY frustrating for two teams from same state coming down to mumbai to play national finals against who? same team? Isn't that weird? rather anti-competition if you ask me! Anyways, finally that "late" team (Twain, i think) turned up and guess what? They didn't get a chance to play against anyone! they were just made to play a Fifa game as a formality! Now, you guys tell me, if there is an "odd" number of teams at an event where "even" number of teams were expected, isn't it clear that atleast one of the teams from the whole lot should get a walk over? I mean this is a BASIC rule! Those 2 clans from Kolkata and that one from Mumbai were really disppointed and pissed off. One more out of so many things i observed was that, i saw few teams pleading to practice on the spare computers, but they were disallowed because the organizers said they were meant for "spectators" or visitors. Very strange. But what more strange was that most of the time these spare PCs and TVs were occupied by their own staff. hah! Anyways, before i get questioned by some people on here saying "Did we rape you badly at the event or something?" i need to clear, that i DID NOT participate in this event. I was just a spectator throughout. But still, i am a gamer after all and i can certainly grasp eyebrow raising moments. But i am rather pleased to see that even at the event, and post even, its not just me who's raised eyebrows. Again, these are just observations from a totally neutral person. I strongly feel that the event organizers totally supported the two LSG teams. Also, people are saying that they cannot cheat at console n all. But that is why they DID NOT win on any consoles, eh? The ugliest part for me was when the two teams who accused were disqualified. I think that is where things became much clear in my mind. Even if those teams were wrong, the organizers should not disqualify any team just because they were vocal for something unjust they felt. I think the tournament certainly wasn't transparent and the onus is really upon the organizers to prove things false. (show demos immediately, etc. give reasons as to why the two teams were disqualified, etc). As a gamer i urge others not to participate in such an event from next time onwards unless these things are made clear or unless next time things are more transparent. And what exactly does his skills in FPS has anything to do with cheating or not? That's like saying, Zidane cannot be tested for doping because he's the BEST soccer player in the world, period. Seriously man, by all means go ahead and defend anyone you want, how ever you want. But keep aside "He's the best", "They raped you" etc. Because most of the people who are accusing didn't even play with them, let alone got raped. NOT everybody loves console games as much as the other person you know. IGL fracking up another event yet again. You really think people are going to miss an opportunity at 20 Lakhs again?... How naive are you? Also, if you guys had any idea into how much work goes into organising tournaments, and the money the sponsors lose on doing so, you wouldn't be making such selfish comments. If you dont want to come, thats well and good, frack off. But try dont spoil the tournament for others. There is definately not even 1 good organiser in india, but what can we do?...
