Some of the game jockeys were friends with team lsg ... they were the game jockeys on the console ... so u saw them supporting em .... sue us for supporting our friends.

 

& u prove to me that the 2 teams were disqualified ??? !! man no1 was disqualified from n e whr ! wot must have got to ur ears was a rumour.

 

abt the demos .... am not sure if they were recorded ..... but it was all a live feed on the main giant screen and abt 30-40 odd ppl were seeing it ! No1 had n e thing to say at that moment abt .... spawn points and wot not !

 

a guy from the spectators said that ...the lsg plan A's player's armour was coming down wen he was running or not coming down in usual.

 

i told him ...that the player was running in shield mode using shift ...ur armour doesnt become low then .... & for the armour not coming down in general .... i showed him the very next second ...that the play was being shot n his armour was low. ... thats a direct query and a direct answer !

 

abt ur problem abt T7 & GFT having to play each other . well both the team's opponents dint show up on time . So it was decided that the 2 wld face each other. i was thr when this was conveyed to the teams ..they were a lil taken aback but no1 complained or raise or voice or n e thing ... they came n just got abt with their business of gaming !

 

& about ur problems abt the left side and right side issue . Well team lsg plan A was made to switch sides at the last moment in the semi's against team 10 .... and the result was same in their favour in a very convincing matter. so it dint matter on which side u sat on ... it jus how good u were at the game !

 

Oh and i am the MOD of the IGL website .... i write the articles on it . aks jus wrote 1 on skoar ! nothing else . and he is in no way assited with n e thing on the website or with IGL ... accept for knowing eachother as acquaintances !

Supporting means breaking rules, eh? (remember late arrival of LSG player and later arrival of other teams' player? we know what were the consequences for the others).

WOW, just wow. You're hosting a 50lacs tournament and you guys don't even know if the demos were recorded? Are you kidding?!?!

 

Giant screen was only showing 3rd person view and NOT first person view of the game. So no one knew what was happening with aims, health, if anything. Plus it wasn't showing all the 10 computers at once. Here we are discussing that what were they doing at the windows desktop when everyone was disallowed to do so.

Firstly that is not "my" problem. it is YOUR problem. Your event's credibility is being questioned here.

 

Secondly, if you have the guts, call that team, let them be in public and then ask if they didn't complain or raised any voice. I challenge you for that. Things were so tense outside the reception (just opposite the fifa zone) that few players clashed into each other.

 

I don't know how you can even say that. when i say they were pissed, i really mean it. they were REALLY REALLY pissed. they were even complaining that no one from the organizing end heard their protest.

 

Please, think before you write. Don't just sweep arguments like dust. We are talking serious sh*t here.

Most of what I have read, and heard, is that IGL fracked up organising the event, and Team LSG had some preference from the Organisers.

 

All the top teams STILL get preference from Organisers.. So what?...

 

So what? Last time i checked LSG weren't a top team. Hell there's no defending champions in crysis. So don't justify the "preference"

 

There is definately not even 1 good organiser in india, but what can we do?... Why dont you try your hand at organising one, even a small 10 team one, and then talk.

Ok i read that article and i am not amused after reading it.

 

In fact the article speaks volume about the matter being rasied here. please allow me to just quote few things from your article.

 

The major issue that took center-stage on the final day is the accusation of hacking and cheating by Gaming Godz as thought they were gods! along with Virtual Knights. Their point was that Team.LSG - Plan A and Team.LSG - Plan B who were the only team that averaged over a 100 frags a match were on steroids (lol) and hacked! The evidence that they felt was proof enough was taken by a cell phone camera which was 20 feet away from the computer screen. They video showed footage that the game was shut and a window was opened which they alleged was a note-pad file and that Team.LSG - Plan A made alternations in the in-game file. God only knows what client changes they made that affected the dedicated server (lol). Eventually after a lot of discussion and deliberations, these whinners were shown the door as the videos were inconclusive and the matter was put to rest. Phew! The arguments that ensued during the allegations were quite amusing... check this out:

- Mouse cannot have drivers (lol, but some mouse have balls)

- 24 frags were scored in 7 seconds by Team.LSG - Plan A (guys try this out at home with zombie bots and post us the results)

- How can someone shoot through walls (ting tong ever heard of 'spamming'!)

- Who the hell are you and why are you standing behind gamers in a live match (can u beat this, this was asked to the EA representative of India Mr. Yashdeep! Well as you can imagine he gave a fitting reply)

 

Firstly, this event was marketed as India's biggest championship. with prizes money worth $115,000 or 50lacs. And this is the level of maturity in your write ups?

 

I mean, using words like "whinners" or using unnecessary "lol" and mocking the team's names JUST because they raised an issue speaks for itself.

 

Firstly, if anyone accused team LSG for cheating, why the hell VIXTURE/IGL took/take it personally? shouldn't they act as a mediator? shouldn't they treat each and every team equally? Why the need of using words like "whinners" when the teams were accusing team LSG and not the event. Of course the event NEEDS to clarify from their side but that doesn't means they can insult other teams. (but now that the event itself is being accused, i still feel the level of immaturity is just too high from your side).

 

This conspicuous support and defending from the organizers towards team LSG is enough for us to get the right impression.

 

Also, just like you're brushing arguments here it seems you're following the same fashion in your article.

 

- If they said there's no mouse drivers required they OBVIOUSLY meant for the optical ones. Don't f**kin think that everyone is noob here. Everyone knows about computer hardware and softwares. We all know event such as this weren't going to use BALL mouse.

- Sure they must be knowing about spamming. But Ting-Tong, ever heard of wall hacking?

 

- Who the hell are you and why are you standing behind gamers in a live match (can u beat this, this was asked to the EA representative of India Mr. Yashdeep! Well as you can imagine he gave a fitting reply)

 

STOP exaggerating! i was there and they did NOT use words like "who the hell are you and why the hell are you standing blabla' That's why i am pointing out the immaturity in the "official" vixture gaming organizer's coverage write up by one of their "officials/mods/admins" ha! And finally .. why can't an EA representative be questioned? You know its not written "I am the head of EA India" all over his face, is it?

 

Let me quote something more right from the next page of that article:

 

The fact of a matter is this, both the Team.LSGs were the only teams that made a serious effort towards winning the tournament. They were put all together by LSG cafe's owner Rishab, and were given support in terms of game software, hardware, cafe login time, food and travel. They were mentored and organized to form proper teams. They started with 1 team (Team.LSG - Plan A) and soon realized they need another as opposition to the first team. Hence was born the second team christened as Team.LSG - Plan B.

 

Woah! Didn't know that you Vixture guys knew both team LSGs THAT well. I mean you knew what and where and how they practiced. Hell you even know their cafe's owner, good stuff. And no, we are not gonna sue you for knowing them so well. (unless of course someone here has the money and the will)

 

But one thing i want to point to others from the above quote, is that this guy tries to disprove the accusations by saying "both team LSGs were the only teams that made a serious effort towards winning the tournament".

 

Can you guys believe it? this is coming from the organizers end! Wah!. All the people who came all the way from Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Banaglore, etc were "not" serious about winning, they just came to pass time in Mumbai that too at their own expenses which wouldn't have happened if Vixture hadn't happened.

 

Seriously, how are you so sure that none of the other teams from other cities were not practicing as hard as LSG and were not as serious as them?

 

Please dude. At least don't make it so obvious when you are on full fledged defending mode. The partiality in your article is just flooding.

WERE YOU not there when both LSG's were asking for the GOD DAMN REMATCH? NO SERIOUSLY? Are you ignoring the part when in the semis we were playing Team 10, top 3rd team in the tournament. 1 min before the match was about to start WE WERE ASKED TO SWITCH SIDES? DID YOU NOT NOTICE THAT?

 

Favoritism is part of any game. Have Bangladesh and Australia match being played in Australia. WHO DO YOU THINK WILL GET FAVORED? At the end of the day you will say Australia doesn't need that but they will get it anyways in their home land. Same goes for LSG, Ghanti is a regular player at Cafe LSG, he wasn't allowed to play for a month... heck no one was allowed to play for a month before Vixutre. Only PLan A and PLan B practiced over there for 6-8 Hours straight.

 

Please stop this now, i was kinda happy that this was happening. I "might" do the same to an extent if i lost. BUT OH MY GOD....for so long... WHERE THE HECK IS THE GOD DAMN PROOF YOU WUSSES?

 

As for NYPD, have they failed to mention that they were the only team that came close to beat us? Ask them... i HAVE no clue why they are complaining.... seriously absolutely no clue...

Yeh 4got to mention abt the registation thinggy ...was 3 in the morning ...was half asleep ... my bad ...sorry abt that !

 

Abt the whole late arrival of player !

 

Well werent u thr from the start of the final day ? i hope ur talking abt the final day . the start of the crysis game was delayed due to some problems in the hard ware ( that wasnt our dept. it was Xtreme Gaming whose comps were used and they were figuring it out) . The start got delayed by 1.5 hrs. & cos of the delay in crysis the other games were getting delayed too. one of the players of lsg had a race at NFS. It was getting late .... so he was told to finish his race there and come back ..as crysis was taking time to start. but as soon as he left ... the computers were fixed .... so thats the reason y the lsg player wasnt there . he was taking part in another game.

 

While at the same time .... the players missing from other teams. as far as i can remeber there were 3 teams who played with 4 members. 2 had said that they were shrt of 1 ... and that the 5th wldnt b coming .... so no question or doubts abt that. 1 team had a 5th who came in late .... the reporting time for the day was 8.30 am. but the player was nt even at the venue till like 10 or so .... so it was their problem of not being on time ... so thats y they were forced to play with 4 players.

 

abt the demos...

Well the comp dealers (Xtreme Gaming again) were the guys responsible for all the viewing and demo recording business. They were specially got in by EA. They said a 1st person view option aint available in the game on spectator mode. And they dint record the demos .

 

Using the desktop was allowed. only change that cld be made was going into the control panel and changing the windows mouse sensitivity. The only arguement that i had with the video was .... nothing was clear ( y doesnt the guy who showed the video jus upload and get the matter shut) nothing can be seen .... just a white box opening. which as he insists is a notepad file ...cld easily have been the windows control panel. nothing is clear what soever in the video.

So in order , if some1 is making such a big accusation and trying the creditability of the organiser ...a VERY CONCRETE proof is reqd. Something that they cldnt provide ! It was told to the ppl who were crying fowl ... that if proved LSG , they would b kicked out of the arena. But no solid proof was given !

 

PS > using control panel was allowed to change mose settings. As ppl were allowed to use their hardware for the finals.

 

Abt t7 and GFT

The 1st game they played was crysis ...and well none of their "Really really pissed off moods" showed there , they just had an issue that both the teams wanted to sit on the US side. so a toss was done to decide that.

 

abt the preference ....

Preference abt wot ?? Lsg wasnt the top team. they qualified jus 4th .... plan b dint even qualify. So what preference are u talking abt ? !!

that statement was used when everyone was inside not in front of u . The guy who said it ...also did apologize when he realised it was a EA guy. and whoever said we are the "official" vixture gaming organizer's coverage ?? !! plz dont go abt making claims ! we were present at the event .... so we covered it and wrote abt it ! wots with the "official" organisers coverage ? !!

But seriously, there are gonna be accusations at every event. (although no one can doubt what happened at the Dogfight Nights event )

 

Considering the money involved and the reasonable participation levels, such an uproar is not out of the ordinary. What would be appreciated is someone from Vixture making a public statement about this and representing them here on GI to answer the queries posed by members. It will go a long way towards clearing the air about the happenings at this tourney and will help to improve their image, which frankly, is down the toilet at the moment.
