It is also cross platform compatible so you can use it with any source you want. I use it with TV as well when I am not using it with my PS3. Amazon is selling the PS3 official headset for ~75$ (add another 25-30$ for customs & shipping). I can also get used PX5 for around 80-100$ off eBay. Which is the better option ? Also any other choices in this budget ? I don't mind used from eBay US. Main use will be PS3. And what's the difference between Pulse Elite and normal Pulse headset ? So i am probably going to buy the Elite edition. The eBay guy mentioned above has bumped up the price to 10K (~165$). If i buy through Shop-n-Ship - it will be 18$ shipping + another 20-30$ duty depending on luck. Amazon is offering it via Global Shipping for 8K + 1K duty deposit. He said because of high dollar rate - he will sell it for 10k only now. I will buy it from US looks like - i just bought a linksys router for 6K + 1K shipping when it's 13k+ in india ! Here is my set upPS3 -> Optical Cable -> 5.1 DTS SpeeakersThe speaker set does have a stereo out in, but I don't know if it supports mic also. I don't have any mic available with me. So I can't play MP games so well.What's the cheapest option available to have mic with PS3.Also the PS3 sits at 10 ft away from me, so if it's wireless or bluetooth it'll be better.I won't mind the output through the surround system and mic input through some cheap (1k) set. By default its like, us mic gives u other player's sound and u interact with them using it and game audio is from TV speakers or whatever output u r using.... Thanks . Cab you suggest me some good headset with big battery life . Does the fact that mic is not next to the mouth hamper sound quality ? I also have sony's official bluetooth headsets for ps3 which i dont really use there days but voice is sometimes screwed up like i get echo's, maybe its because of other's systems.....
