Well, that was the whole point of the DLC. You leave the urban area behind and explore countryside.

Something new, and it was done well. If it had been same parkour, it would left players burned over time. Now you have different things in game, which is good.

Will you play Mirror Edge if they chop off the parkour element from the next game/DLC? (game core mechanic)

AC syndicate added vehicles but they didn't removed the parkour stuff they struck a balance between the parkour element of the game and the new vehicle system but here its 99% buggy..

Why they removed all parkor gameplay from Following? I hate driving buggy around :|

Same problem here, hated this buggy only DLC.

Dev misunderstood why we loved dying light I guess because they chopped off parkour in the DLC its 99% buggy and 1% parkour (They removed the core mechanic of the base game somewhat).

If you think like you can just avoid buggy and go on a quest just like base game you can't because objectives are far away, map is like an open field and way less area/thing to climb :/

That's because you're exploring London city, which is filled with objects/structures which are within reasonable distance to utilize said feature. Introduce a country side map and see how this mechanic falls apart and would become tiresome. They also introduced a sub-mechanic of grappling hook, which allowed players the freedom to skip some of the pointless wall scaling. Yes, there are people who are fatigued with this core mechanic and for them, this was a welcome change.

So this is not really the best example you'd want to use when you're expressing your disappointment against Dying Light's DLC, whose map introduces an area which has less amount of obstacles to scale, as opposed to it's original map. Same goes for comparing it to Mirror's Edge, which was a linear game whose gameplay was based only around parkour platforming sequences. Dying Light is a blend both platforming and action. For the map which was chosen, the buggy is an a ideal choice to traverse. My guess is that the developers wanted to diversify the location and in doing so, they felt the need to introduce this new travelling option. It's just a matter of opinion on how you accept this change. ;)

30+ hours in and still only 38â„… done. so easy to get deviated from the campaign and do other sh*t :P This game is the most fun I've had in a long time.

Calling it underrated is an understatement. And I've not even got the Following yet.

The enhanced edition is just an update to the existing game right? (and not a new game added to the library?)

Also, Be the Zombie DLC kinda sucks. I can barely find games, and when I do, people almost always quit after dying a couple of times.

I'm on 'Pact with Rais' quest, anyone up for co-op?

Added. My steam display name is 'Stoic Wolf'. I played quite a bit yesterday and reached on the 'Siblings' story quest where I need to get the flesh from the bolters.

Be the Zombie was pretty good earlier. I'm guessing its been a long time and most have moved on. That said Dying Light is probably one of the best games this gen.

I agree. I loved a lot of the core mechanics of the games, except the fact that Mr. Crane which was chosen to be sent to Harran to fight zombies, thugs, and pretty much every goddamn filth of the world concentrated in a single city can't perform a goddamn stealth takedown. And you need to wait and get like 15 levels in some skill to actually be able to do that.

Apart from that pet peeve of mine, pretty much everything in the game feels solid. Specially the navigation, survivor sense, free running, and unexpectedly a rather really good story for a zombie game. The voice acting, the controls, everything is amazing. Been a long time since I had so much fun from a game. Already clocked in about 8 hours since yesterday :D)

Agreed on everything you said. Also if you've not been doing the sidequests start doing them. Their stories are so damn good and very fun, and the characters are fantastic. I'll start the following in a few days. Already clocked 50+ hours in the main game.

Dying Light players have killed a whole lot of zombies

Players of zombie action game Dying Light have really outdone themselves, according to statistics released by developer Techland.

In a new video entitled "Book of Records," the studio released a slew of data recorded by the game, revealing (amongst other things) that players have:

· Destroyed 389,300,768 roofs, or all the houses in India and the United States combined;

· Travelled 1,000,105,940 kilometres, or approximately the distance from Earth to Jupiter and back;

· Climbed 125,105,940 km, or over 14 million Mount Everests;

· Driven 49,380,980 km, or about 1200 laps of the Earth;

· Set off 422,106,064 firecrackers, equivalent to about half a kiloton of TNT;

· Cut off 303,105,714 heads, which would collectively weigh half again as much as the Troll A offshore natural gas drilling platform, the heaviest manmade object in history;

· Run over 835,582,580 zombies, or over 200 times the entire historical road toll of the United States;

· Fired 130,106,024 arrows, which would cause enough damage to defeat every Dark Souls boss, at NG+6, over 27,000 times.

To celebrate, the studio announced the launch of "HyperMode," a limited-time event that will see players' characters gain increased strength and motor skills, including "the ability to dropkick harder than ever before."
