But she cud even mean he was trying to.......................................... kill her... Btw the winter section was the best for me... rAgHaV Posted June 24, 2013 Report Share Posted June 24, 2013 also the way david locks up the door before chasing her clearly indicates that he wanted to rape her ;( if he wanted to just kill her then he could have done it right when she bumps into him while opening that door also he says 'come out blah blah, it'll be over quickly' while your controlling ellie and trying to stealth kill him.. rAgHaV Posted June 24, 2013 Report Share Posted June 24, 2013 and why would she be so traumatized after killing david when she was killing clickers, hunters etc so easily.. david was trying extra hard to win her trust. his men even called ellie his 'new pet' (when joel captures those 2 guys) since he wanted her alive.. and the game rating says 'sexual theme'.. there is no sexual theme in tlou besides that david scene. pinkmonster Posted June 25, 2013 Report Share Posted June 25, 2013 Finished the game. Was so frikking intense. Nail-biting experience in some areas. Some were a little predictable. I felt really bad for Sam. Though when he started asking Ellie those questions, I had a feeling he had been bitten. Ellie wala scene was so awesome-sauce. I love it when women can handle themselves in tough situations and aren't exactly dumb morons. My respect for Ellie and ND increased in that scene. Also, the ending. Wouldve totally done what Joel did. It wasnt even sure they could make use of Ellie's blood or whatever to create a cure. Faaltu mein mar jaati toh Joel ko aur bhi zyada bura lagta. Harder the difficulty, more damage you take from teh enemies, enemies also notice you more quickly. There is no 'Listen Mode' in Survivor, neither you get melee prompts. Did david try to rape ellie ?I'm not sure on it..Or he was just trying to kill her?And why he was after her in the first place?his intentions were not good or what? Nope definitely rape. She says something like "he tried to-" and then cant continue.Earlier also he touched her hand as more of a sexual thing, which Ellie turns around and breaks his fingers. Joels actions could have been read as selfish, but i think ND did something really cool here: made me fight for the destruction of mankind over the life of a fictional character. What was really interesting is that it doesnt even seem like a difficult, ethical question but an obvious one: if you are Joel you will save the girl over and above everything else. She has been the single spark in his very dark life. Also loved how the run with Ellie mirrored Joel running with Sarah in his arms in the beginning. And damn did the actor who played Henry sell his suicide. That moment was the darkest in the game, and the voice acting in it was brilliant. Very disturbing moment in a very dark game. Snake Posted June 25, 2013 Report Share Posted June 25, 2013 Finished the game. I thought it could never get better than Bioshock Infinite, but it did. Everything is as close to perfect as it can get, The opening where the world goes to sh*t, the need to survive among the infected and the things worse than them. The infected are not the ones you need to worry about, the humans (Fireflies or hunters) show how humans can turn into absolute animals once their existence is threatened or the need to survive is paramount. The banter between Joel is fantastic...so are the other characters. You get a feeling that there is Hope (very similar to Children of Men and The Road). Every NPC death is brilliantly done especially the Henry and Sarah. There also moments in the game where you actually feel how cold Joel has become. Saving himself and Ellie using any means possible, The scene with the smuggler, the torturing of the two guys to find where Ellie is (Joel turns into Liam Neeson..so BOSS), same in the hospital. That torture scene was COLD. Joel actually seems to enjoy killing them. ND did somethings so well- there was the offscreen story of Ish (short for Ishmael, i think), the ship-wreck guy whose letters and notes you find in the sewer level. As you go through the level i actively searched for notes to know what eventually happens to him. And btw did everybody else pick up onthe fact that Bill was probably gay?
