I hope they add playable Monsters in TF2.. :D Monsters vs TITAN multiplayer game...Pacific Rim style

Human vs Human M.P games are boring now...

If it was made by small team then it should reflect in the final cost, no shame in selling it cheaper than see the price freefall at retail. Warhawk was sold for $40 and the $60 retail version came free with $50 Jabra headset, and yet it was panned in reviews for being too expensive for MP only game. And that game actually had shitton of content with proper dedicated servers and 32p matches and what not.

You think EA will let them release a game like TF for 40$?

Mp only games are any day a better buy than sp only games.

I hope I'm not choosing lines in between as that was pretty much straightforward. Subjective statements like these often go misinterpreted. Titanfall (from w/e I've played in the beta and a bunch of games at friends place), as a game/IP has fantastic and fast paced design to latch on to a large console player base, sure. When you're gonna charge $60 for this vanilla package, there comes the outcry - a pretty fair one at that. You take the 4 hour campaign from the annual CoD away and it would still sell 20 million units across platforms because the annual milking is an established practice, just like FIFA for EA. This is a new IP. This isn't 2007 for a military FPS which does something on a big scale that the AAA market doesn't, to capture a player base and start milking it. The last half a decade has seen some massive "voting with the wallet" approach from the consumer that EVERY pub takes note of. It's REALLY hard to move retail units these days. The average soccer mom or the parent that get their kids new games is NA specific (for most). MSFT level marketing works in NA, but the market is MUCH more than that.

About single player games, fair comparisn with Order. inFamous ? Maybe even, because of longevity due to certain MP playlists like Attrition. As for other single player games I take it that you haven't played much at all or just don't like to play them because "better" doesn't justify the following. I'll just leave this here.

^ This game, wasn't just GOTY 2014 for many. It's inarguably one of the greatest action games, if not games EVER made. There are only two other action game franchises in it's purest form (among all the casual adventure games with a humongous marketing push like darksiders, god of war, Castlevania : Lords of Shadow etc), which can even be compared to this caliber of high level gameplay, Ninja Gaiden & Devil May Cry. The overall content provided in this package (if you could excuse the pun) just takes in the order 1886, weaves the second son inside, and ejaculates a titanfall with infinite climax, so much that it isn't even funny. The irony here is that, it sold a tad over million units (maybe less than that) as of now because of the platform it's exclusive to.

Yes.. New co-op horde mode..

Most badass mode . Since this is the only mode beside Attrition that is somewhat active . I only play this one . Currently rank 45 . Will delete the game as soon as i reach 50 . The game was totally worth the price . best MP game of 2014 :punk:

Titanfall 2 isn't going to do anything special on PC unless its free-to-play. That's what basically drives the population there.

Stop drinking the Kool Aid,

2jv5fa.png

Game was made with zero thought about PC populace, no server lobby and jack all support.

TITANFALL got what it deserved on this platform. And if they want to continue with the model, they will constantly die out on a platform that can technically keep the game alive regardless of how old it is.

^ Counter Strike is not free, Civ is not free, the bottom barrel of that list will have a higher player count than TITANFALL on all three platforms combined.

TF2 is a 7 year old game that was $20 game for first 4 years. UC3 also went f2p after 2 years of active community. I'm sure if Titanfall wasn't dead on PC it would be f2p in couple of year, the game has been on Origin free trial so many times its practically free on PC.

ARMA franchise is not free, BattleField is not free, Counter-Strike is not free, Civilisations is not free, free to play unless not correctly implemented and maintained is not a sure shot way of achieving growth. Sure you will have the numbers but what about the actual game itself?

TITANFALL on PC died because of the way they implemented the game sans any PC functionality, removing certain game-modes (subsequently reintroduced) and then making sure that the community has about zero say in the games advancement on the platform.

Look at how BattleField is a shell of its former self since its reintroduction with Bad Company 2 for an example. There are still total conversions being made for titles like BattleField 2, System Shock et al but the games with zero community support and outreach shrivel and die within a span of two-three years.
