I really really hope it's a timed exclusive and eventually makes it to the Sony console.

 

Sadly, this has been confirmed by EA. It is a Microsoft Exclusive.

I have no idea why it's disappointing. I wouldn't care if it was 6v6, 10v10, 32v32 etc. IF the game was fun to play.

What has the player-count to do with how the game will end up playing?

 

Battlefield is 32v32, it's awesome fun but so is Halo which is 8v8 (even though I only preferred 4v4 in Halo).

COD/Halo sell way more than Battlefield even though they're a lesser player-count -- because, it has nothing to do with the player-count in the first place.

At the end, if the game is designed to play well, it will be fun to play irrespective of that.

Nothing wrong with 6v6. Counter Strike was built for 5v5 and it's being played 15 years later. Call of Duty is designed for less than 10v10 and it's the highest selling game in the industry every year because people enjoy it immensely. As long as it's well made and the maps/gameplay are designed around this player count, I'm sure it'll be fine.

It is quite less if you consider install base of 360+PC+Exclusive starved Xbone gamers. It should do 15 million easily.

Yup. Absolutely no point to play it on Xbone at all. 360 version will do just fine. So will PS360 versions of COD and BF4. Who needs next gen, pretty graphics, more player count. People are fools to buy 40-50k machines when current gen consoles can give the exact same FUN.

Every game plays differently. Halo/COD wouldn't be the games they are if they were 64 players.

Using that same logic, every FPS needs to be a higher count because it is on a next-gen system. WTF! :rofl:

Why is everyone getting so hyper if bots are like creeps from Dota?(read as cannon fodder)

 

Coz scrubs here havent played dota. They will find it very hard to differentiate between creeps and players you see.

 

Its so hard to differentiate someone wall running , jumping and doing crazy sh*t from a bunch of footsoldiers just blindly walking towards some point. Why do you think COD is so dumbed down :lol:

But I sense a design flaw incoming

I haven't played anything like this before....where you have to find 6 out of 24 in the opposing team to get some real action

 

Do you have lobbies on PlayStation and XBox ONE or does the match-making work on an ad-hoc basis for such titles?

 

Because to me the biggest threat would be new players getting shorter gratification loops but in turn being utterly crushed by older more experienced players.

I dont see the problem with 6vs6 at all... as long as it is justifiable in the game

 

also arent they trying to merge sp and mp ... i guess thats why Bots (i mean AI) is more in numbers

There is no dedicated single-player content.

 

The multi-player itself will be the main act and provide a vignette for some basic plot. Not that it would be some Pulitzer winning stuff.

 

Either way, lets see what Respawn pulls of.

I really hope it's good and work fine on PC (unlike Battlefield 4) as I've pre-ordered it. :samui:

 

You really did not learn anything after SimCity and BattleField 4. Did you?

The "SP" part won't be possible without them I bet. And it would have been a problem if they had skills similar to human players. Which they don't. They are just meant to drive the narrative forward and kill the "spawn-die-spawn" loop.

 

Be a little open minded instead of crying every time you see something you don't know sh*t about. Or go back to playing dullzone. Your choice.

 

Leave it dude , some people will never get different game designs. Thats what happens when you just stick to just one type of game and dont branch out . They want all games to be like that. So many classic shooters like CS are 5v5 and are meant to be played only like that.

 

Next thing you know some people will say Mobas being 5v5 was a technical limitation and not design choice :rofl:

 

The whole point of putting bots is that they are grunts , No human player will want to play as grunts. Maybe they didnt want to make the game a 20 v 20 , where everyone is flying around with mechs. The whole point of the mech is ruined if Everyone has one , you need some grunts to blast out to make your character actually feel epic. You cant keep human players instead since then the mechs will seem to overpowered.
