Plus, Titanfall is based on Source engine, so don't expect graphics on par with other games revealed.

who cares...60fps ftw...Game looks good enough.....Source engine is a fantastic engine which will run on all system both low and high end.....

From GAF - Respawn representative -

First - so glad to have this finally out there! Even more excited that people seem to "get it" and are looking forward to playing it. We've been focusing on gameplay since day 1, and I think everyone is going to have a really fun time getting to know the game once its out :)

The 60fps videos are from our site, www.titanfall.com. I don't care where you're getting 'em, but if Gamersyde is slow for you, try it. A huge part of the game is the fluidity, and thats really lost on weak-sauce Youtube 30fps encodes. As long as I'm around, expect 60fps footage from us.

For those expecting "normal" Source engine - don't. Those super smart coders (like Calen in this thread!) have re-written a massive amount of the codebase. The renderer is completely new (multi-threaded, DX11, 64bit, etc.), along with all the sound code, netcode, input code, etc. There's a lot of cores on the Xbox One, and the coders are actively working on utilizing them as much as possible.

Cloud! Cloud. Cloud? Yeah - we're using the MS Cloud for the Xbox One version. All platforms will be 100% played on dedis, but on the Xbox One MS is providing an extra layer on Azure that allows us to spin up dedis at a moments notice based on active users in the variety of regions, among other things.

We aren't talking about the 360 version much yet, but rest assured that we're working with the team thats doing it and care very deeply that its a superb version. This is our debut game and we won't let just any turd out the door!

PC - yup, going to be on PC, and its going to be awesome. We've got a lot of hardcore PC gamers in the office, and we know there's a lot of you looking to get this on PC. Again, no turds. We know what PC guys like/expect, and really don't want to disappoint.

Titanfall is Only on Xbox One and PC due to Power of the Cloud, Good Relationship With Microsoft.

If you wondered why Titanfall is (at least for now) exclusive to Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, Infinity Ward’s co-founder Vince Zampella has the answer, as he clarified yesterday as part of an interview on IGN.

First of all, the studio seems to have an hoops-free relationship with Microsoft, that facilitated the delivery of the devkits:

the day we announced the studio, an hour later I’m on the phone with our Microsoft rep. ‘We have dev kits. Tell us where to send them.’ There were no hoops to jump through…that’s just the relationship we have.

Of course that’s not all, and Respawn started working on the game without any exclusivity in mind. Things changed when they realized the potential of the cloud feature brought by Windows 8 and Xbox One.

It allowed us to think of the game a little differently. That was the perfect solution.

So only for Win 8 on PC?

MicroSoft using arm twisting tactics again.

We know you don't like Windows 8, so lets force you to migrate.

Those that managed to play Respawn Entertianment's Titanfall at E3 this year had the ultimate bragging rights. Players were like small-time celebs at evening events, with others asking everything they could about the title. Show attendees ran as fast as they could when the doors opened at the Los Angeles Convention Center just to get in line for the behind-closed-doors showing of the game. This was a totally hands-off experience, but it was still enough to be the talk of the show.

Few (us included) had a chance to participate in the multiplayer matches that served as demonstration gameplay for the behind-closed-doors showing. If you thought the view-only group was excited about the game, talk to someone that actually played it. Their enthusiasm for the next thing from the Call of Duty creators will rub off on you. This sci-fi mech/solidier shooter is that good.

We often have a difficult time in picking the standout title from E3, but it seemed a bit easier this year, even with the countless next-gen offerings shown. Repspawn's Titanfall seemed to tower over them all, and for that we've named it our E3 2013 Game of the Show.

MS gotta fix their bloody DRM.

I will cont...to use Win7 even on my new PC. .I just hate new Win 8 interface...

Win 7 will run all future games even Cyberpunk 2077 :smokey:

What interface? Metro titles?

(Windows 7 is almost same as Windows 8..just no Metro dashboard which is sad.)
