I hate Metro interface of Win 8......I prefer Win 7 simple and stylish interface...

I have a windows 8 key but wont upgrade my desktop yet. Maybe if all games are forced to use 8 then I will.

Only MS published games will use Win 8.......

That's not even a reason to hate entire OS.

Actually, it's much simple and cool if you are connected to internet.

Dashboard updates, everything under one roof, type and go..Give it a try and see.

WTF is happening? Dice says BF4 won't support Win 8 and now these guys are saying Titanfall will support Win 8 only :wallbash:

Because DICE is not affiliated to MicroSoft, while these folks (Respawn) are stuck with them.

Only for Alpha version.

(Note that these do not necessarily represent the requirements for the final game.)

The retail version and most likely even the beta will definitely support it.

How about saying that right now the OS is not even adding anything to my experience save the new interface.

Apart from a faster boot time and features like unified storage space it doesn't add anything new, in-fact it replaces certain staple features that are the hallmark of desktops with lesser functions (comprehensive back-up is OUT, file based back-up IN, lack of START button, removal of DVD playback).

Wait so BF4 final version wont run on windows 8? That is not possible. Even if it is officially not supported, it will run fine on compatibility settings. I have legit Windows 8 on laptop, but haven't played any game on it, so cant comment about game performance. But it seems lighter than 7, so gaming performance should be good. Still holding off my Desktop upgrade till I really need to Windows 8 due to some mandate.

BTW you guys stuck on 7 etc should have bought 8 keys when it was for 699. I bought 4 keys during that offer. 2 for me, and 2 for family. Sooner or later, M$ will force 8 on you.

It doesn't add anything? Yeah!

Modern UI Interface

Charms bar

Better Searching (on fly searching, just type and go)

Better multiple monitor support

More apps

Windows Store

Cloud integration

More secure (+ships with MSE)

24x7 metro updates

Improved power management

..everything improved and made better! (including performance)

list goes on and on..It's miles better than Windows 7.

Regarding removal of DVD playback, actually it's not. Windows 8 Media Center Pack has it.

File History is the answer for your back up. Not to say, it has non-stop continuous backup feature which Windows 7 doesn't.

Just because of no start button, people are hating it.

/OT already, end.

Edit: Windows 8.1 free update for Windows 8 coming this year with more new features.
