Even if it is officially not supported, it will run fine on compatibility settings. I have legit Windows 8 on laptop, but haven't played any game on it, so cant comment about game performance. But it seems lighter than 7, so gaming performance should be good. Still holding off my Desktop upgrade till I really need to Windows 8 due to some mandate. BTW you guys stuck on 7 etc should have bought 8 keys when it was for 699. I bought 4 keys during that offer. 2 for me, and 2 for family. Sooner or later, M$ will force 8 on you. Modern UI Interface -- even Windows 7 is modern and does not need a touchscreen / controller to work, mouse + keyboard. Charms bar -- by gimping the recent files tag system that was on since Vista. Better Searching (on fly searching, just type and go) -- again file indexing was fine on Windows 7. Better multiple monitor support -- Okay. More apps -- Tell me you bought a SLi RIG to run Angry Birds, did you? Windows Store -- This is high irony, making Windows a more closed platform. Cloud integration -- Azure, or for that matter any Cloud based enterprise is not something I would trust to handle all my data, rather have a soft-copy on my person / or stashed away in a disc. More secure (+ships with MSE) -- Even Windows XP (with SP3) can run this, so no biggie. And honestly unless you have no common sense, virus infection chances are very low in Windows 7. Cannot help if you click on every banner on them pr0n sites. 24x7 metro updates -- Seriously! Improved power management -- this I would like to see. ..everything improved and made better! (including performance) -- only minimum frame rate has gone up, average remains same and the boot time with SSD's. list goes on and on..It's miles better than Windows 7. File History is the answer for your back up. Not to say, it has non-stop continuous backup feature which Windows 7 doesn't -- you can schedule your back-ups in the earlier versions of Windows just fine. Edit: Windows 8.1 free update for Windows 8 coming this year with more new features. -- All service packs are free. And Windows 8 was not such a great OS that it completely over-shadowed 7, heck XP is still the most used OS. List of features removed in Windows 8 @wiki. LOL. Those people make up minority of sales. Remember that TitanFall is new and mainly riding on hype. If any game had a shot at cracking COD, it was Battlefield 3.
