Walker
Real SW game will be revealed next year by Amy Henning and her team at Visceral studios.Yeah definitely looking forward to what theyre gonna bring. But till then this will still be a great SW game. Like I said take away the SW label and this game wouldn't have got the amount of attention it is getting. ALPHA17
Star Wars Battlefront will not have in-game voice chat (on PC) "You can choose your favorite third party software to communicate with friends on PC," EA tweeted in response to an inquiry about voice chat. The PS4 and Xbox One versions, for those curious, will utilize their "built-in party system for in-game chat." Source: PCGamer Yup, one less feature, this time exclusive to PC because somehow between the chop-shopped servers, no squad-system and absolutely no depth to game-play we decided the best way to communicate is not to communicate. ALPHA17
Does this game actually need one ?.We'll know once the retail version releases and besides we have teamspeak which reminds me of this Yes, it does, considering, No server browser, so no clan or third-party sponsor servers (which means you can be connected to a server cluster in the middle of Belgium for all you know) No squad system, hence you are not joining with any guarantee that you will be on the same side / paired together (so how exactly are you to communicate, what if two players join the same server but do not get on the same team but are now on TeamSpeak, do they sit in two different channels) Now that you do not know who you are joining or how you are distributed. How exactly will TeamSpeak work for this? Yes the game is not super tactical but VoIP interfacing with random strangers works wonders, good communication and a coordinated play means that even with all the imbalances on the Hoth map currently a rebel team can hold off the Walkers. P.S. -- This is not withstanding the fact that you should just have a mute option for idiots but I think that is too much to be expected from EA and DICE. Aftrunner
People still use ingame voice chat on the PC? I cant even remember the last game where I used in game voice chat with a friend. Why would you not use Teamspeak/Skype when the voice quality is guaranteed to be a billion times better, you wont have strangers listening in and you dont have to hear some random dipshit yell about random dipshit things. I mean there is a fair bit that is f**ked with this game (12 maps? f**k your bullshit EA) but this aint really one of them.

Yes, people who play games that allow for it. I used it in BattleField when I was playing on non-clan servers or as a Commander. It makes a whole lot of difference when people use it instead of faffing about. I use TeamSpeak also but as I said with the brilliant decision on EA's part to rule out community servers, how will you comm? Considering that there are smaller teams doing stuff like INSURGENCY, Verdun (both of which have community servers), I do not see why DICE cannot implement it on a AAA release. Aftrunner
200 hours of BF4 and 100+hours of BF3 and never have I heard a SINGLE voice in any game. Not even once. I could have sworn both those games dont do Voice in game either. And they need 10x the teamwork this one does. Yeah I am sure this feature will be a massive loss. LOL. ALPHA17
^ That is my point, smaller teams have implemented better chat systems in-game but DICE cannot do it. And we are fine with it. 200 hours of BF4 and 100+hours of BF3 and never have I heard a SINGLE voice in any game. Not even once. I could have sworn both those games dont do Voice in game either. And they need 10x the teamwork this one does. 1000 Hours on PC Sir and I have used it. If you have not used it does not mean the feature is useless.
