Star Wars: Battlefront Xbox One Trailer Marketing Blunder Explained

Last week EA and DICE officially revealed Star Wars: Battlefront, however a marketing blunder happened with Microsoft with the release of debut trailer of Star Wars: Battlefront. Sony and EA has struck a deal for marketing of Star Wars: Battlefront and so the debut trailer of the game featured a Sony branding. The blunder happened at Major Nelson's blog post about Star Wars: Battlefront Reveal.

As you can check out in the image below, the trailer that was embedded has "PlayStation" branding, but now it has been replaced. So what exactly is the reason behind this marketing blunder, might be a human error but who knows, may be Microsoft were not provided with the advance copy of the trailer?

If you look at post now, it has been replaced. It could have been a mistake, but who knows. This is kind of expected since Sony and EA have a marketing partnership for Star Wars Battlefront but you would at least expect that Microsoft would get a trailer that has their branding and that too in advance.

Wonder what brand of perfume MS will use this time around. Maybe they can use a different product this time like "battlecunt tampon" or something. If they ever lose that cod marketing deal, the meltdown would be a sight to see.

This gonna be a challenging game to develop if they stay true to star wars content. It will have a MMO content like destiny.

Also tps and character customization seems interesting. Specially when u have light saber and force.

U can play as vader or luke tooo.

Kind of super excited

How does that matter if you like the game. Good graphics is just a luxury.

Yea maybe

Possibly Star Wars Brand power will propell this game forward

I was talking in general about console players

Resolution sells,FPS does not

When a new game announces these days ppl are like "is it 1080p or not"?

Never "is it 60 FPS or not" or "are the texture and models well detailed"

See no reason for there to be loot drops or other MMO aspects in a regular multi-player game like this.

There might not be loot drops, but I think forces will be unlocked based on experience. Also detail character customization tells that there will be RPG content . like mass effect

^ Character customisation might just be decals and liveries that you unlock for hitting a certain level / completing an assignment et al.

Also, hero characters were unlocked by players for finishing certain in-game tasks and had a limited timer on them which could be buffed or debuffed depending on the player's actions and performance. All force powers were unlocked from the get go as well.

Not a MMO style of game-play.
