I am the guy that skips 80% of cutscenes in video games and the ones I dont skip I usually pay little attention to. I genuinely couldnt tell you if the story is good or not. [emoji14]

I used to be able to sit through them a while ago. These days I have no patience for them unless I know going in the story is worth watching.

Mostly by reading impressions on the net. I dont really buy games day 1 so I have a pretty good idea going into a game what the story is like. And the first couple of cutscenes are a good indicator of the rest. For example the general opinion on the story of RotR was that it is hot garbage. I saw the first couple of cutscenes and realized that was true. Been skipping most scenes since then.

Then there are developers I already trust to put out some solid writing. I wouldnt skip anything in an Obisidian/CD Projekt/Bioware because I have always enjoyed their output.

Interesting. But don't always listen to what reviews and impressions have to say but story can be quite subjective.

Do you also skip cutscenes in GTA, Assassin's Creed, etc?

But yeah ROTR story and writing was bad.

I think rotr story is good but the execution was Very mediocre because than we start comparing this one tu uncharted , and naughty dog perfection is really hard to match
