Sach4life Posted June 11, 2014 Report Share Posted June 11, 2014 Some impressions from a person who played the game at the show floor in e3! like others said its the thermite gun section. that gun is ridiculously fun, and the damage really isn't indrect since to ignite the thermite, you have to hit the enemies with a for missile/bullet. the soft cover system is great similar to tlou but a little more stick so somewhere between tlou and uc. Its surreal when your playing it looks so incredible in person, definitely the most impressive game I've seen visually.the voice acting seems good from the little there was and the gunplay feels and controls so great. was getting headshots during the pistol sequence with ease. i was concerned with how it would feel having watched since vids, it looked clumsy, but that wasnt the case at all.there was some feature similar to deadeye in rdr or bullett time, but i didn't quite grasp it in the short time i got to try it seems like it could be good. overall i think this game will be outstanding. KnackChap Posted June 11, 2014 Report Share Posted June 11, 2014 yes shinobi is giving out some details. This was the Lycan reveal moment (which is about 10 minutes long in actuality). Cutting it down to 3 or so minutes was a tough call. Well, there's a playable combat demo on the showfloor and it's been getting pretty good praise. But 'Heavy Rain' sentiment popping up now is a little unfounded I think. The feeling at RAD was to show something other than the shooting, something slower paced and more atmospheric, but again that's hard considering you got 3 minutes or so...They'll start marketing the game a lot better getting closer to release. There's a bunch of crazy weapons in the game that haven't properly been shown. One even blows limbs off of enemies, literally. Lots of battles with hybrids, calling in airstrikes, setpiece moments, lots of destruction...they just...haven't demonstrated that properly yet. Expect to see that stuff at Gamescom. The one where you get to press Triangle or the one where you shoot and nothing happens? I liked the press Triangle part. But I am also a huge fan of shooting with no effect. Having opinions you dont agree with is trolling now? Or is it only trolling if you say bad things about PS exclusives?? Are we allowed to say bad things/make fun of games that are multiplatform or X1 exclusive? I am sure its cool if for those games probably. Not if you mastered the art of drive-by trolling Its fking annoying when you pay attention, but not so much when you learn to ignore it.
