RenegadeRocks Posted February 20, 2015 Report Share Posted February 20, 2015 really? what exactly is bad? im asking you because im playing it right now myself and there's nothing wrong with it. in fact its one of the better handling games out there. the guns have a good weighty feeling to them much like tlou or binary domain. now the encounter design or the general movement choices rolling/dodging is a QTE prompt, switching shoulders is is done by pressing the respective side of the touch pad or the general lack of shooting itself is questionable but calling the gunplay is broken/bad is wrong. auto-aim off btw. We need an answer to his question. Why is there silence over actual matters? Also, watched Gametrailers review and they seem to come out very honest about it and even say that even if it sounds weird to say but the game warrants a playthrough just for its graphics. Will buy it used , for sure. From what I gather, 1)the abrupt end is a major gripe of reviewers and not really the story itself. It builds up well but everything is just left unanswered, unsatisified. Leading to major WTF frustrations. Unfinished end like RAGE probably. 2)and there's a lot of cutscenes and QTEs. ANy else "real" problems? Just asking, cos I can't agree that the game is total sh*t when there are so many sites giving it 8s and 9s. Maybe it appeals to a certain mentality? I mean if the game is so broken, people who love it for its visuals won't really be giving it 9s and 8s just for that. I mean I played Beyond just for its visuals, it had a moronic story and was all QTEs, but stilll wasn't rated 4 or 5 or 6 ! Whats the deal here? Agreed dont like these day 1 patches either,but its still better than delaying a game release by a year. This is whats happening this gen not only with MS others too. I mean, you can put up special editions and such but certain pre-order bonuses are just pointless fragmentation of the game for enticing someone to part with his money. Not very much different from say, micro-transactions. I know, that's why I said pre-orders should only be done 7 days before release for Physical copies, at least that's what I intend to do from this year onward. Pre-ordering shouldn't even exist for digital copies of games. There's no point in securing a copy if the source is infinite. But people keep on doing it nonetheless. It's pretty much insanity as defined by Einstein himself. Does not change the boots on the ground matter. Rare is a demo these days, even getting a BETA build out to the community is rare and less said about community SDK, dev tools the better. Trailers do jack apart from showing the game in the best possible light, I mean look at Watch_Dogs and Unity. And the best part is people do not learn and keep trawling about. Get ripped. Cry / Moan. Rinse. Repeat. Those trailers that do jack are apparently enough for the mainstream audience, unfortunately. Pretty much every AAA Ubisoft title is an example of that type marketing cycle. Unity burned many, and I think people are taking notice slowly but not enough to make any difference. People did learn once, and it crashed the game industry. I just hope it won't take another crash to fix what's going on now. All we can do is spread as much awareness as possible and when they don't listen, sit back and laugh. At least those games don't think gameplay is an inconvenience to be gotten around. TBH Nintendo games like SMG, SSB etc are the best looking games on respective platform. Galaxy still looks amazeballs on Wii U save for 480p image. Pretty graphics may not be the selling point, but the most popular games on any platform are also generally the technical masterpieces, mainly because the team that put out an overall best package doesn't skimp on anything, including graphics. KnackChap Posted February 21, 2015 Report Share Posted February 21, 2015 ^ Zodak is that you? lolwut? the guy is not comparing visuals with other games or fishing for hits like most of the other sites of such nature *cough* Digital foundry *cough* even with multiplatform games. he's a tech enthusiast and has a keen eye for visuals and details that mostly people miss while watching or playing game. his uncharted 4 demo dissection was amazing and was probably the first guy to say that the teaser was running realtime before naughty dog came out and confirmed it many months later.many of his other videos are posted in other game threads too and people have enjoyed it. maybe someone should post his directx 12 video to get ur attention.
