NO co-op is a surprise, the game videos only indicated otherwise, I thought this will be something like the L4D games based on the initial videos ....

I hope they make all the characters playable at-least !

Yep it is surprising

The teaser looked like it will be Co-op heavy

Something that PS desperately needs

As it never got games like Gears & L4D

I was looking forward to this majorly coz of this aspect

Gaming today is much fun in co-op over headsets & parties

Uncharted & TLOU were enough for those kinda things

They should hv gone Co-op on this one

Ready at dawn had already hinted that their game was inspired and in the same vein as Uncharted 2 aka a cinematic action adventure game well before they were known to be working on PS4. also dont forget they are a small studio and are jumping straight from PSP development to PS4 with the order. they are doing their own in house engine, their own soft body physics based system ( said to be very very impressive )which is not a small feat for a studio of their size.

as for that other shooter, that sh*t looks generic as f**k. they probably saw ND's amazing cutscene/mo cap work on the uncharted and TLOU and thought ND will rip their game a new one if they tried to compete with them so they probably decided that the only chance they have is if they use real characters do most of the storytelling. oh and im sure it will have some time based puzzles ripped right from god of war. ;)

^^ Quantum Break? It doesn't look that bad. I don't want to talk gameplay because we haven't seen any. Just like The Order. I expect both to not do much new.

Remedy puts a lot of work into building nice looking, contemporary environments. The town in Alan Wake looked really good!

Good point on the mocap/real actors though. They were supposed to patch better facial animations into Alan Wake but never did. What they released looked horrible even in 2010 :/

I am happy there's no MP. Just focus on a top notch atmospheric game. Make a solid entry. We have got MP games for MP.

I hope there is focus on detective work as it seems a perfect place to fit in the story.

embargo lifts on the 19th right?

+1 for no MP/co-op. I play most games for their SP campaigns which are getting more and more boring by the day because of spending resources on shitty tacked-on MP and co-op components.

I agree with the tacked-on MP trend but some titles like Gears are made with co-op in mind right from the original. It was meant to be a competitive MP title right from scratch. Unfair to compare with The Order. I'd just leave these decisions to the developer's creative vision for the IP. SP only shooters need to co-exist in the industry. Don't want a stale generation up ahead. That said, I'd want high replay value. Add fun and engaging stuff and not just higher difficulties with trophies, which would make me fire up the campaign a half a dozen times and justify $60. Something like Vanquish for example. I'd die for a Vanquish 2. Also , these guys are relatively small compared to some big names out there. This looks like an amazing atmospheric game. Can't wait for gameplay debut.
