3D Modelling in Blender engine

Hate those donuts, looks really weird and..just weird.

(not real, not smooth..)

Love the rainy window, pretty good work on that.

Hallway is nice, just too much grain :P

I know..They are ugly..but i am just trying to improve my skills over time... :fear:

Hallway pic is grainy as it takes a lot(around 2-3 hours)of time to render it at higher quality...mainly because my laptop is not powerful :fear:

Add deformities to your models. IRL nothing is all perfect and smooth. Its the small touches that make a difference.

Ok..I'll keep that in mind

Edit:But can you tell me what IRL and deformities is?i am not taking any classes and don't have any expert experience in it :P

IRL -- In Real Life.

Deformities means bumps, scratches and other such 'deformities' that break up the smoothness of the surface.

Basically he means to tell you that your models have to carry such details to make them more appealing rather than just look like smooth 3D blocks.

Keep working and post such stuff on sites like DeviantART for better feedback and technical appraisal.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

Thanks :).But the background is not fully CG.It's a HDRI image.I'm not that good, yet.

I started with some random youtube tutorials(such as tutor4u,Blender Guru,CG geek [they were the main ones]).But then i stopped with tutorials and started learning by "trial and error" because they can be addicting.

BTW are you a CG artist?

@ Arpit, i second this. There is nothing better than Maya & 3DSMax if you want to get into 3D Modelling & Animation industry profesionally

im currently practicing on Maya 2014,I intend to pursue 3D art proffessionally

btw Typically how many days does it take you to complete a project from zilch to final render?

^^I have become quite familiar with Blender and its core features.I don't want to start all over again.I know maya is industry's standard but blender is as much as capable as maya.Blender artists.org has some amazing works.IMO an art is more dependent on the user rather than the software(wheather it's maya,4dcinema,blender etc.).
