Bioshock Confirmed for PS3, another big title to be revealed next week- OPM

Recommended Posts

QFT. The jaggies on the 360 version turned me off, hoping they rectify it with the PS3 version, i've already finished it on the PC (maxed details, maxed everything) maybe they'd add a few graphical improvements?

with everything maxed out it looks thebest on PC PS3 ver might not be able to match it...but since they have more knowledge they shud try to make it look better then X360 version

KrakChap also speaks truth . *Yawn* at bioshock . It was decent . But I don't see why people rate it so high .

I for one will be VERY interested if Bioshock does come out for the PS3. I have been aching to play this title since it hit the shelves. I even missed the PC version. Now I'll just save up and wait when the PS3 version comes out, hopefully sometime soon.

Well if there's one game that deserved all the hype in 2007, its Bioshock. Besides, if someone hasn't played it yet, then it is still a new game for him, no matter when it was released.

it deserved the hype in 2007, not in 2008....how can you hype up a release like this a month in advance and say 2 OMFG titles will be revealed in next month's OPM....bioshock is an amazing game, but no, its not worth this kind of hype a year after it was released and half of all PS3 gamers (possible more) have already played it on another platform

and then they have the audacity to say on the cover that it will be better on the PS3....have they not played any of the other 360 ports on the PS3?

peace

yeah they would say it will be better on the PS3, OPM stands for Official PlayStation Magazine after all.

actually EGM/1up(microsoft defense force) also said that the game is running better on the ps3(whatever that means)

It should considering the extra time between the releases should have gone towards tweaking and fine tuning the engine. I for one, hope that it has HDD installs which should eliminate the texture pop-in issues that the X360 version had.

BTW: I was reading an interesting thread in some forum which speculated that the reason so many PS3 games use HDD installs is because the data transfer speeds of the Blu Ray drive on the first year PS3s is slower than the DVD drives on the X360. Without the HDD installs, the texture loand-ins and general load times wold have been awful on the PS3.

I would like Take two to add a switchable third person view for the Game, then it would be something interesting :)

OPM stands for Official PlayStation Magazine after all.

OPM is part of publishing who also publish OXM, ONM and EDGE, they're not published or funded by console makers. They've got more credibility than most multiplatform mags and websites out there.
