Kazekage Gaara
Guys....don't do that. I've read horror stories on the internet about UK/PAL region people plugging their US Wii's directly. Some of their adater's blew up and even some of their Wii consoles. It IS dangerous to plug in your US Wii to a regular indian socket. It'll just blow up. I have no idea how Helios/MT's Wii works. I have a US Wii and I use a stepdown convertor. I bought the Wii already modded, and I got the stepdown convertor with it. Never dared to plug it the other way around. Don't wanna lose my Wii. Ashok
Where are you located?? Indian version of Wii adaptor is easily available at shops in Mumbai.. I've been hunting around for a Wii power adapter in Bangalore with no luck. Do you happen to know which specific shops in Mumbai might have them so I can call them and see if they might ship to Bangalore? (Even better if someone knows a place in Bangalore!) I got a Wii from the US, plugged it through a step down (220->110) transformer and heard a loud POP. Checked with a multimeter, there is no output voltage from the power adapter. I double checked that the output of the transformer was stepped down so I don't know why the adapter blew. I'm hoping the Wii console itself is OK but need a new power adapter to try it out. Any pointers appreciated Tx /Ashok
