ALPHA17
^^ ASUS, GIGABYTE, ZOTAC! -- by quality GIGABYTE, ZOTAC!, ASUS -- by price. I really see Galaxy, Palit and eVGA cards in India, don't recommend them either because they are either very expensive for their standing have no support network in India
kemosabe
good pricing, this card performs similar or better than 660 ti
ALPHA17
good pricing, this card performs similar or better than 660 ti It performs close to the GTX670, marginally lower power consumption. nVidia GTX760 vs. GTX670 benchmark run. Although I doubt you would find it for ~19900/- anywhere in India, except for the most barest cards, expect these to retail close to ~23000/- or thereabouts. Heaven Angel
Hmm, 23,999 for ASUS NVIDIA GTX 760 Direct CU/OC 2GB DDR5 Graphics Card. 20,999 for ZOTAC NVIDIA GTX 760 2GB DDR5 Graphics Card. Via: hardwire
ALPHA17
^^ Low blow, MRP on card is higher than announced. I would pick the ASUS solution over ZOTAC!, the standard layout blower will get noisy and won't be as effective as the latter's DCU II heat-pipes. Also, the ASUS card comes with a factory over-clock of 100MHz, which ain't bad.
Noctis
I wouldn't trust initial hardwire prices. They had Asus 770 at around 37k a few days back, now 33.5k and its still lower at local retailers.

piper
When will AMD's answer to the 760 arrive? Also, how long from now will the 760 be considered a good card that can output decent framerates (40+) at 1080p? 3 years?
Heaven Angel
It's expected somewhere between Q4 2013 - Q1 2014. GTX 760 is good card and you should be able to play all games on highest setting for ~2-3 years at ~40 FPS (sometimes without AA/MSAA setting). After that, mid-high setting. Ethan Hunt
When will AMD's answer to the 760 arrive? Also, how long from now will the 760 be considered a good card that can output decent framerates (40+) at 1080p? 3 years? Even now HD 7950 > 760 > HD 7870. So i guess AMD is covered - especially with their games bundle.
ALPHA17
Even now HD 7950 > 760 > HD 7870. So i guess AMD is covered - especially with their games bundle. ^^ Not really, the lead is very tenuous, different titles go to both parties --> AMD HD7950 3GB vs. GTX760 lower power consumption in the nVidia cards case over-clocking potential, unlike its Kepler mates the GTX760 over-clocks very well so it can usurp the HD7950's lead in other titles as well with a smaller power footprint Overall from a purely gaming vision the GTX760 is not a bad egg but for a more balanced work load the HD7950 holds up well. The Wolfy among us
I read a few reviews where on an average the 760 won 8 times out of 10 compared to the 7950. Besides, it's cheaper. VFM is through the roof.

What games come with the "Never Settled" bundle in India nowadays? And all Steam redeemable? If I sell off the game codes then maybe both cards come in at the same price point (as I see 7950 variants for 24k+ only). How big of a factor is the extra 1GB of RAM going to be? In which games? piper
This article : http://www.legitreviews.com/article/2227/1/ suggests both are tied. As per that AnandTech link shared by Nirmal baba, 760 is ahead in Battlefield 3. That wins it for me.
Heaven Angel
For 79xx series: BioShock Infinite, Crysis 3 and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. 1 Steam, 1 Origin and 1 Uplay. For 78xx series: BioShock Infinite, Tomb Raider and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. 2 Steam and 1 Uplay. You don't get anything in India. (very few stores give you codes..that too you have to ask. Few shops are even selling codes for cheap price.) Get 760 instead of 7950. I read a few reviews where on an average the 760 won 8 times out of 10 compared to the 7950. Besides, it's cheaper. VFM is through the roof. GTX 760 is very good card for it's price.

Yes, all are STEAM redeemable codes, here are the cards that come with the 'Never Settle' bundle. MD Computers, never settle bundle. If I sell off the game codes then maybe both cards come in at the same price point (as I see 7950 variants for 24k+ only). The cards over ~24000/- are all boost edition of the HD7950, they have a comprehensive lead over the GTX760. AMD HD7950 (Boost) vs. GTX760 How big of a factor is the extra 1GB of RAM going to be? In which games? Games like Crysis 3 and ARMA III. Anything where textures and huge draw distances come to play. Also once you go for resolutions over 1080p, e.g., 2560 x1440 (on 27" monitors and above). BattleField and the FrostBite engine have always been biased to nVidia cards. Err, no. Crysis 3 is Origin key and Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is Uplay key.
