Try performing ping/tracert during daytime and then in the night time (after 12) and you will see a big difference. So during the day time pinging www.google.com gives values between the ranges (200 ms - 500 ms) and then late into the night, it gives 52 ms. So if you are gaming during the day time - there will be considerable lag if you are on BSNL and playing BF3, Kz2/Kz3, etc. I have faced it. Executed the following command in windows tracert www.google.com The 5th hop in this is to 59.163.206. 177 (static.chennai.vsnl.net.in) some TATA box. This and the one before that seem to be clogging the response during day time. Day time Ex: 3 23 ms 23ms 24 ms 4 137ms 138ms 137ms (218.248.255.2 or 218.248.255.66) 5 178ms 179ms 180 ms (59.163.206. 177) etc,etc 9 231ms 204 ms 205ms www.google.com Night time Hops 3, 4, and 5 are at 25ms, 26ms and 51ms with the final step at 53/54 ms. Could someone who has BSNL, perform the ping/tracert and let us know the values and what time of the day these commands were executed.
